-DEX'S POV-

You want me to confess to Biana," Dex clarified. Feeling his cheeks burn.

Sure, he liked Biana.

But he didn't think he was confident enough to tell her, face-to-face, that he had feelings for her.

Sophie didn't take it back, she just crossed her arms and waited.

Dex sighed.

"What if she doesn't like me in the same way?" He wondered, his heart racing.

He didn't think he'd ever hear the end of it if he got rejected by Biana Vacker.

"Trust me, If you're honest and true to yourself it'll be easy,"

"Unless you want me to do it for you!" Keefe jumped in.

Dex groaned, Sagging his shoulders.

"Don't listen to Hunkyair," Ro told Dex. "He won't tell her if you don't want him to." She glared at Keefe.

Keefe just smirked.

Sophie ignored them both, stepping closer to Dex and resting her hands on his shoulders.

She waited for him to meet her eyes before she told him, "you don't have to do this, Dex. you can wait. But... I do think it would be better for you to tell her soon. Otherwise these feelings are going to crush you. Trust me, I know." she glanced over at Keefe, who was still smirking.

Dex gave her a shy smile, pulling away from her.

"I guess I'll try," he said. Keefe wooooohooooed and Ro Pumped her fist.

-BIANA'S POV-

"Why are we talking about this?" Biana asked.

Tam and Fitz sighed.

Linh stepped forward.

"What they're trying to say," she said, meeting Biana's eyes and smiling sweetly.

"is that you should tell him-"

"You want me to tell him how I feel??" Biana practically shouted.

Linh, Tam AND Fitz nodded, like they were happy and relieved that she'd finally understood what they were asking of her.

Biana's cheeks flamed.

Admitting feelings wasn't on her to do list. She could live with denying them until they went away.

She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms. The whole thing with Keefe hadn't exactly gone well.

Even though she'd gotten over those feelings, being around him still felt a little awkward.

She didn't want it to be that way with Dex too.

Tam tugged on his silver tipped bangs. "I'm not an expert on feelings," he said.

"All I know is that it would help. You'd be less awkward around each other." his silvery eyes were focused on his feet, like this topic was awkward for him too.

But Biana knew they were right--all three of them.

She just hated the fact that they were teaming up on her.

Especially her brother.

"Fine," she grumbled. "I'll do it."

BACK TO DEX'S POV

You wanted to tell me something?" Biana asked, her cheeks were pink and she was fidgeting a lot.

Dex took a few deep breaths before he dove in head first and told her, "I like you, and not just as a friend. It's confusing and weird, but, I've liked you for a while. I understand if you don't feel the same way, I just wanted to put it out there. So that you were aware of how I felt."

can you tell that I'm not at all good at confessions? 😭- Theo

Biana's Teal eyes looked glassy as she told him, "I was... going to say the same thing to you. Not the exact words you just used, but... you get the point! You're really interesting and kind and smart and... cute! I think it would be really, really great if you and I could be a thing."

Dex sighed, relieved.

She felt the same way!

He wanted to jump up and down or parade around.

But instead he stepped closer.

she met his eyes, and his heart raced. Barely an inch separated them now.

Dex suddenly worried that she'd push him away, or he'd be a bad kisser, but she tilted her chin up and leaned closer, closer...

Finally, her lips gently pressed against his.

His heart did a couple summersaults.

The only Kissing experience he'd had was with Sophie, and that hadn't gone well. But this... this wasn't as awkward and cringey. It felt so normal, like they'd done it a million times before, and he kind of loved that.

She sighed when they finally parted, and her facial expression was adorable.

It was the perfect combination of beautiful and Relieved.

He just laughed.

-Sophie's POV-

Ro Squealed and Keefe jumped up and down.

Sophie shushed both of them, She understood how ADORABLE it was.

But she didn't want to interrupt, so she turned around and faced Ro and Keefe.

"We shouldn't spy on them." Sophie whisper-hissed.

"But they're adorable!" Keefe whined. "That was adorable."

"I ship them SO HARD!" Ro announced.

"I know, but I don't want to freak them out, or make them feel pressured." Sophie reminded them.

Keefe groaned. "How come you're always the smart one!"

"Because she's the Moonlark," Ro pointed out, narrowing her eyes accusingly at Sophie.

Sophie dragged a hand down her face.

"Are you guys alright?" Dex asked from behind them.

Sophie looked up. "Yeah, we're fine..." her voice trailed off when she noticed how Dex's and Biana's fingers were tangled together.

"Yeah... we were just about to leave!" Sophie said, glaring at Ro and Keefe.

"but we did see your Adorable little moment you two had there, " Ro teased. "And I think I have a new favorite ship!"

"What's your favorite ship?" Keefe asked, obviously trying to change the subject.

"Ohhh, Funkyhair! It should've been OBVIOUS." Ro said, flashing her classic pointy toothed grin. "Team Foster-Keefe is the best!"

"Yeah!" Biana said, Dex nodded in agreement.

"WOW!" Ro exclaimed, Grinning wider. "You two are awesome." She held up her fist like she wanted a fist bump but they left her hanging.

"You guys are disappointing, actually." she said.

Keefe sighed dramatically and side-stepped so he was closer to Sophie.

"So.. Dexy, remember when you were getting all panicky about Biana not liking you back?" Keefe asked, smirking when Dex blushed.
