"How did I know you'd be here?" Someone asked.

Sophie whirled around and found Keefe standing behind her, his arms crossed and a smirk curling one side of his lips mischievously.

"Umm, my locker is right there?" she gestured to her locker.

"Yeah, I know, but you should be in class right now."

Sophie narrowed her eyes at him. "I can say the same thing to you,"

Keefe grinned, stepping closer. "I'm ditching – per usual."

Sophie crossed her arms. "I'm not ditching. unlike you, I actually care about my academic life."

Keefe just kept right on grinning. "Eh, I'm already a year ahead." he shrugged like it wasn't anything.

Sophie rolled her eyes, sighing.

"Could I convince you to ditch class with me?" he asked. Sophie's eyes widened.

"Before you answer," he said, stepping even closer and holding his pointer finger up in a way of silencing her. "I'd like to warn you that, one, if you ditch with me you'll get out of the most boring class in the history of school. And, two, it'll be an excellent way to hang out with your marvelous boyfriend." he tossed his hair.

Sophie was too distracted by him calling himself her boyfriend to respond.

She'd never gotten the chance to think about calling Keefe her boyfriend, much less think of him as her boyfriend.

It felt more natural hearing it than it had with Fitz, though.

Keefe was her boyfriend.

She was sure every girl in Foxfire was going to scream when they found out.

"Ughhh, fine,"  she grumbled.

Keefe laughed. "You're so cute."

Sophie elbowed him in the ribs.

♡♡

"Do you always come here?" Sophie wondered as she followed Keefe to the same spot they'd met.

"Nahh." He said. "I used to change it up every now and then, sometimes I'd go to an entirely different hall. But then I met you..." His gorgeous eyes found hers, and the look in them made her heart flutter. "I ditch here every day now, since it reminds me of the day I met my favorite person."

Sophie wanted to laugh at how sappy that sounded, but all that came out was, "I'm your favorite person?"

Keefe didn't say anything, just smirked and winked at her. She wasn't sure what to say to that.

He sat down on the bench and gestured for her to sit next to him. She sat a little further away than she probably should. But she couldn't help it, she felt a little shy around him for some reason.

"You're so cute when you're nervous," he noted, smirking.

"Hey, it's hard not to be shy around a pretty boy who's your boyfriend now." Her face flamed.

His smirk turned into a grin as he moved closer. He touched her cheek, and the simple touch of his fingers against her face made her shiver.

He grinned deeper and leaned closer to her, eyes never leaving hers.

"This is entertaining you, isn't it?" Sophie said.

"Would it be bad if it is?" He countered, trailing a finger along her jaw, leaving a tingly trail of warmth everywhere it touched. "Besides, I can feel how much you like this too. Don't even deny it."

She couldn't.

She didn't.

When she stayed silent, he whispered, "I knew it." before he kissed her.
