"Mom!!" Kayla called.
Sophie rushed down the giant staircase that led to the 1st floor of her enormous house which now housed 4 people.
Keefe, Sophie, Kayla -Sophie and Keefe's daughter- and Skylar -Keefe and Sophie's son.
Kayla looked a lot like Keefe, she had ice blue eyes and blonde hair. The one part that resembled her mom was her shoulder length hair.
A small braid was tucked behind her ear and the rest of her wild hair fell freely down her back.
She wore a beautiful light purple dress that flowed like a waterfall, and the sleeves and upper chest were covered by thin intricately designed fabric, she also wore black leggings, and knee-high white socks with two black stripes at the top -- Biana gave the dress to her.
Skylar looked like if Sophie and Keefe got mushed into one person.
He had Keefe's artfully mussed blond hair, and his eyes were a light shade of brown with gold flecks -- like Sophie's. He wore a blue tunic with a white, button up, long sleeved under shirt.
But he didn't have regular pants on, of course, he wore pajama pants that had fluffy T-Rex's on them.
Skylar's style and humor reminded Sophie a lot of Keefe, he loved to have his shirt untucked, and he only ever wore actual pants when it was absolutely necessary, he was also always causing chaos at Foxfire.
Luckily nothing involving Gulons.
"What's wrong?" Sophie asked.
"Sky took my toy!!" Kayla whined, tears stained her face and another streaked down her cheek when Skylar glared at her.
Sophie was about to respond when Keefe walked over, glancing quickly between Kayla and Skylar with a concerned look. "What happened?" he asked.
"Skylar hit me and now he won't give me back my toy!" Kayla cried.
Keefe sighed. Kayla was younger than Skylar by 3 years, Sophie remembered when she and Amy used to act the exact same way. Skylar just didn't understand why Kayla was so sensitive just yet.
"Hey!" Keefe said, when another tear streamed down Kayla's cheek, and she let out a whimper that shattered Sophies heart into a million pieces.
Keefe went over to Kayla and sat down next to her, wrapping an arm around her waist and kissing her cheek when she leaned her head against his chest. once Kayla had calmed down, he whispered something into her ear, she nodded – standing up so Keefe could head over to Skylar.
"I didn't do anything." Skylar protested, crossing his arms and looking away when Keefe stood on his knees and reached for his hands.
"I'm not blaming you," Keefe said gently, smirking.
A tiny giggle escaped Sky's lips.
"But it's not okay to hit people, Alright?"
Skylar didn't answer.
Keefe turned to Kayla, letting go of one of Sky's hands and telling Kayla to grab the other.
Kayla hesitated before reaching for Sky's hand.
Keefe didn't say anything, and the silence seemed to mean that he wanted the two kids to make eye contact.
Kayla looked like she wanted to cry again, and Skylar seemed to see that, because he wrapped his sister in a strangle hug and whispered something in her ear.
Whatever it was, Kayla relaxed, Sky let go of her tilting her chin up with one hand when she looked down before he whispered, "I'm sorry, I love you so much Kay."
She giggled when he wrapped an arm around the back of her neck and used his fist to muss her hair.
"Are you two good now?" Keefe asked them. Giving them a minute before he asked the question, he was probably entertained by the cuteness of their interaction.
Kayla and sky nodded at the same time.
time skip; later that night
"Thank you," Sophie whispered to Keefe as he crawled into bed next to her "I think you're better at that than I am!"
Keefe smirked, "You're still a better parent than me."
Sophie sighed sarcastically. "Actually, I think you're right."
Keefe laughed.
