So, I've been at Hope University now for three months and I'm loving it. I'm still sharing a room with Meg, Molly and Abbie and I love it, we've grown so close over these past few months, they're like my sisters now. As for Jaymi, I see him sometimes around the campus but sadly he was moved from my drama lessons because we kept laughing. I haven't had chance to meet his room mates yet but they seem so lovely.
I walked into the common room, pulling a chair up and sitting around the table with my room mates.
"I can't believe we've been here for three months" Abbie said.
"I know, it's gone so fast" Meg replied.
"So what classes do you like the most then?" Molly asked.
"I like English and dance" I replied.
"And we all know why that is" Meg said.
"What do you mean?"
"Rach and Danny sitting in a tree, k-i-s-s-i-n-g"
"Oh be quiet, Danny and I are just good friends, that's all" I replied, thumping her arm.
The truth was I wish we were more than just friends. Danny and I had become much closer in these past few months. English wouldn't be the same without him. He made me giggle, he made me laugh and he always cheered me up when I was feeling upset. I don't know why people saw him as this bad guy who was a really bad influence on people, in my eyes, he was flawless. Dance had changed everything too. We'd been paired together, he'd asked for us to be put together. I worked so well with him and our dance was performed in front of thousands of people who came to watch our showcase. Afterwards, he kissed me on the cheek, I don't think I have ever stopped smiling since.
"Rach, Rach, he's coming over" whispered Abbie, loudly.
"Hey Danny, whats up?" I said coolly and calmly even though my stomach was doing somersaults.
"I was wondering if I could talk to you somewhere, maybe in private"
"Sure will outside do?"
"Yeah as long as we're not interrupted" He said, looking at my friends.
"We wont come anywhere near" said Meg smiling.
I picked up my bag from the floor and walked outside the room with Danny. We walked to the front of the University, sitting on the bench.
"It's freezing out here" I said.
"I know, I'm sorry babe"
Are my ears playing tricks on me? Did he just call me babe? I must be hallucinating. I looked into his sparkling blue eyes and he looked into mine. I started to giggle.
"Why you laughing?" He asked.
"I just find it funny, you wanted to ask me something yet we're sat here in silence"
"I keep getting lost in your eyes, you're so beautiful"
"Oh you charmer you" I said, laughing.
"No, I mean it" The seriousness in his face told me he was telling the truth.
"Well thankyou Danny" I said smiling.
"I guess, what I'm trying to ask you, is..."
"Is....."
"Will you be my girlfriend?"
I seriously must be hearing things. Did Danny Martin just ask me to be his girlfriend?
"Y...yes" I stammered.
A smile grew on his face and he stood up, putting out his hand for me to take it. We walked back into the common room hand in hand and immediately the whole University knew about our relationship.
"Is that your bird Danny?" Asked his friend, Luke.
"Yeah mate, she's gorgeous" He replied, putting his arm around me and pulling me closer.
I spent the rest of the night with Danny, sat on his knee, getting to know his friends. They were so funny, making me laugh all the time. I saw Jaymi from across the room, him looking at me questioning what was going on. I mouthed to him that I was now with Danny and he shook his head in disapproval. I couldn't understand what his problem was. As for my room mates, I can't say that they were best pleased with my relationship. They felt like I have dumped them for Danny and that I had taken away Abbie's love. It's not my fault I fell for Danny and Danny fell for me.
The next few weeks, I could feel my status around the school changing. The girls and the boys looked up to me as one of the populars. I'd never had so much fame before. If I wore a certain dress or jacket, the other girls would wear it too. If I had my hair a certain way, the other girls in the school would copy me. I got invited to a lot of parties too, which was very weird. The first party I went too was odd but I got used it and within a few weeks, I was going to a party most weekends. I was sat in the library, catching up on some work when a voice said behind me
"You're welcome to him you know"
I turned around to see Danny's Ex, Charlene, stood over me. Her chavy smell and her boobs as big as her head.
"Erm thanks" I replied.
"He's only with you to get back at me, just thought you should know, anyway see ya" She walked away, the other boys admiring her from the behind. Her followers Sophie, Natasha and Shannon followed behind her, doing everything that she did. They were like her little slaves, her little pupptes. They wanted to be her and I wondered why. It was obvious to me that she was lying, jealousy was all that it was, jealousy is a horrible thing. I also made some new friends since being in a relationship with Danny, Lauren and Alisha. They were gorgeous girls, so perfect in everything they did.
I was sat around on the sofa's with most of the popular kids in the school, joking and laughing. That was until Abbie walked over.
"You coming to sit with us Rach?" she asked.
"Erm...no" I laughed.
"Well, we've not seen you, it's like you don't want to speak to us anymore"
"Well maybe I don't"
"Yeah, Rach's is going to be moving into our room" Lauren butted in.
"See, I'm moving into their room" I said, mimicking Lauren.
"What's happened to you?" Asked Meg, shaking her head as she walked away to her table.
I moved rooms to go and live with my new found friends. I couldn't stay living with Molly, Abbie and Meg could I, they ruin my status. I always needed to have my hair perfect, my skirt as short as possible and my make up absolutely perfect. Foundation was necessary. I walked down to english, sitting next to Danny, him smacking my behind as I sat down
"Cheeky" I teased.
Jaymi sat at the back of the classroom with his friend Olly. He turned around, finding it hard to believe what I had turned into. The most popular girl in the school. Charlene sat behind us in the class, constantly causing me hell, shouting abuse and making up rumours about me. Obviously they weren't true but it was her main aim to split Danny and I up, not that it was going to work. As the lesson finished, Danny had to run away to his sports lesson, kissing me on the cheek as he left. As I grabbed my folder, pushing it onto my chest, Jaymi grabbed my wrist. I spun around glaring at him.
"What the hell happened to you?" He asked.
