Today was the day, the day of the prom, the day I've been waiting for since I started here at Hope. There was nothing to do today, apart from be pampered and look stunning. It wasn't like a typical American Prom and no one had massive dresses. It was more like a really big party where all the girls wore party dresses and the boys normally in their chino's and a nice shirt. Well I say most guys, I mean mostly Josh. If you ever see him without his Chino's you know there's always something wrong.

I woke up, wriggling out of my bed, the excitement being felt in my stomach. Stretching and taking a deep breath, I walked into the living room. I opened the fridge door and poured myself a glass of milk, gulping it down.

"Morning Rach" Jessie said, walking into the room, rubbing her head.

"Morning Jess, is Luce not up yet?"

"Nope...shall we go wake her?" the mischievousness was sparking in Jessie's eyes.

I nodded and quietly, we crept into her room. Her arms wrapped around her pillow and her hair messy from the rolling around she did when she slept. Jessie threw me a pillow and we tip-toed towards the bed. Signalling the countdown with her fingers, when no fingers remained, Jessie and I jumped on the bed, screaming Lucie's name and waking her up.

"IT'S PARTY DAY!" Jessie screamed.

Lucie wasn't exactly happy with our little gesture, taking the pillow from under her head and hitting us both with it. Although, she didn't take it personally, we ended up sat on the bed giggling whilst Lucie sat up rubbing her eyes.

Now it was time to get pampered. We all took a very quick shower and then went to set up our things. I was in charge of hair, Lucie in charge of make up and Jessie in charge of the outfits. We would have put Lucie in charge of the outfits but we would have ended up having them shrunk in the wash or ended up wearing someone else's outfit. First was hair which meant that it was my turn to work my magic. Lucie was up first whilst Jessie sat with a glass of orange juice and the radio blaring with the Top 40 chart music. I messed with Lucie's hair and then decided to tie it up because it would look best with her perfect red dress. I curled the other bits of loose hair and tied the main section up in a gorgeous bun.

"I love it, Rach it's beautiful" Lucie exclaimed, putting her arms around my neck and hugging me.

"You're welcome, Jessie you're up next" I said, dusting the chair down.

Jessie took her place and settled down. I knew exactly what to do with her hair, I curled it and put a cute little plait, made from her hair, just like a hair band over her head. Jumping up, she kissed me on the cheek and started to jump around. Judging from her reaction, I was guessing that she liked her hair. Then it was Lucie's turn doing the make up.

"So will you be seeing Josh over the summer?" Asked Lucie, applying my eye liner

"I'd love too, but I don't think my parents would approve" I sighed

"What, your parents wouldn't approve of Josh, who do they want you to date, your cat?"

I giggled but didn't find the joke that funny, we had to give Lucie some support when she told a failed joke. The make up was done, as Lucie breathed a sigh of relief packing her brushes and blushers into her bag. The two girls scurried off, getting their outfits sorted as I sat on the chair with my straighteners, the radio still playing as I hummed the tune to Carly Rae Jepsen's Call Me Maybe. The straighteners slid down my hair when a knock at the door shocked me. I put the straighteners down, putting my hair to one side and made my way to the door. Pulling the door open, I was surprised to see nobody there. I looked to the left and to the right but there was no one about, that was weird. I then looked down to the floor to see a little box addressed to me. I picked it up and opened it to find a glistening diamond bracelet and a little note attached. I put the box down on the table besides me and unattached the note.
