Josh was very very right, 2013 was our year. We're in Summer now, exams are just starting which means that we're spending most of our time revising, well when I say we're I'm meaning mostly me. I keep trying to get Josh to revise with me and try to tutor him but he won't take it seriously. Most nights, we all gather together and I cuddle up to Josh. I'm so glad we made up on New Year, I couldn't really see my life without him now.  Everyone still thinks that Olly and Jaymi are just two really good friends, I'm still the only person who knows that they're more than that. Additionally, I've still kept the big secret from my parents about Josh and I, he doesn't know how strict they are but if I tell them, I'm sure they'll be ok with it, well I hope so anyway.

Speaking of parents, Josh's Mum came to visit us a few weeks ago, as a little surprise for Josh to convince him to work hard and pass his first year exams. No one thought to tell me that she was visiting so when I walked into the boys room and his Mum was there, I did get a little bit of a shock.

"Hey" said a blonde haired woman, a smile on her face and the same blue eyes as Josh.

"Um...Hey...." I replied, a little confused as to why there was a woman in the boys room.

The atmosphere was very awkward, I didn't know what to say or what to do. The woman just sat looking at me and smiling so I just smiled back.

"Um, do you know where Josh is?" I asked.

"Josh, My son?"

"Um, I don't really know if he's your son"

"You must be Rach, Are you Josh's girlfriend?"

"Yeah, that's me" I replied with a smile. "And you are?"

"I'm Josh's mum" She replied, standing up with open arms, coming over to hug me.

I walked over to her and hugged her, she probably thought I was some right freak.  As she patted the seat next to her, I placed myself there and she looked at me with admiration.

"Josh has just gone to find out where I can get home from" she replied.

"Oh right, he called me over, said there was someone he wanted me to meet and I'm guessing you're that special person"

"Well, I'd like to think so" she replied as we both laughed.

Josh's mum seemed so lovely, so easy to talk to, just like Josh.

"Well aren't you beautiful" she said, picking a strand of my long blonde hair and letting it drop.

"She is isn't she mum" said a voice.

I looked up to see Josh stood over me, I puckered my lips and he bent down, planting a kiss on my lips. He jumped over the sofa, sitting on my knee, a little heavy but I didn't mind. We sat talking about different things, about the ups and downs Josh and I had and about a few little things Josh did when he was younger which had tears rolling down my face from the laughter and the thought of him standing on a clowns foot because he wouldn't throw a custard pie in his face. I also imagined him flirting with a Spanish waitress by making up the lyrics to Hero in Spanish and pretending to sing it to her, it turns out that he'd actually told her to piss off and that she was ugly, not exactly the best flirting technique there Josh. I excused myself from the conversation, saying that I needed to go to the bathroom. As I sat there, I heard Josh talking to his mum.

"What do you think of her mum?"

"She's beautiful, absolutely beautiful, you're perfect together"

"Honestly?"

"Trust me Josh, don't let that one go, she's special"

I smiled and laughed to myself, not realising that  my laugh was a little loud.
