I woke up the next morning to the smell of sun cream and sand. Lucie was scurrying about, her hair in a bun and her beach dress over her bikini.

"Where the hell are my sandals?!?" she asked, lifting up every cushion she laid eyes on.

"Here Lucie" I said, throwing them out from under the bed.

"You are like Jesus" she said, picking the shoes up and kissing them, sliding them onto her feet.

I was dressed in my shorts, white top, hat and my sandals with my bikini underneath, checking my hair in the mirror and fixing one of my clips that had fallen out of place.

"Are we ready to go, we were supposed to be meeting them 5 minutes ago" Jessie said, her bag iver her shoulder, standing by the door with her arms folded.

"I'm ready, it's just Lucie" I replied, going and standing next to her.

"I need my camera! Where's the camera" Lucie said, again running around the room looking for something that was staring her in the face.

"It's on your bed Luce" I said

"One again you're like..."

"I'm like Jesus, I know you said, now lets go!"

" Not before camera time!" Lucie shouted.

Jessie and I did a funny pose in front of the door before opening it and pushing Lucie out before she realised that she had lost or forgotten something else.

We walked out of the door to our block of flats, the warm summer sunshine warming up my face as I smiled and slid my sunglasses on. Heading over to the front gates, we saw the boys stood in their shorts and their t-shirts. Lucie and Jessie went to their boyfriends. Josh's absence was felt by most of the group, he wasn't there to tell us about his football or about a new aftershave that had just been released. I went over to Jaymi and Olly chatting to them. I slipped my phone out of my pocket and text Josh because I knew he would just be going in to sit his exam.

"Good Luck Josh, Whatever happens, I'll be proud of you and I love you"

I knew when he read that, it would make him smile. That was one thing that I loved, Josh's smile.

"So are we ready then?" Jaymi asked, taking the lead

"Just one sec" JJ said as he knelt down to tie his laces

"We've got a bus to catch in 10 minutes! C'MON!"

"Jay, calm down, we'll make it" I said softly

JJ finished tying his laces and we walked in a huddle down to the bus stop to take us to the beach, We all shuffled onto the bus which was already jam packed full of people, paying the driver we stood holding onto anything that was strong enough to keep us upright. The bus was so warm and stuffy, the windows were broken and wouldn't stay open so most of the people on the bus had a very bad smell. the children were tugging at their parents for ice creams and sweets whilst the stroppy teenagers sat at the back with their headphones in, refusing to give up their seat to some of the older passengers.  The bus came to a sudden stop and as I looked out of the window, I saw the clear blue sea.

Pushing our way through the crowds on the bus, we stood in a line looking at the golden sand and the suns reflection on the clear, crystal blue sea. We looked at each other and then ran straight onto the beach, slipping off our shoes and feeling the warm sand tickle away as my footprint disappeared. The beach was reasonably full but we found a perfect little spot, near the sea where no one could find us. I placed my towel down on the sand, sitting on it and watching the others help Lucie get her things from her bag. We had another camera time, taking photos of each other and doing very stupid poses. I took my top off, and lay back letting the sun warm me up and trying to get some form of a tan. I was then whisked into Asda, where I met Justin Bieber and he threw a banana at me. Suddenly, a cold sensation whisked over my body and I shot blot upright. My hair was all wet and so was my body, I looked up, a furious look on my face to see Jaymi with a bucket in his hand, tears streaming down his face because he was laughing so much. JJ and George were filming it on their phones while the others just laughed.

"I'm gonna have you for this" I said, standing up.

Jaymi began to run down the beach, straight into the sea and I followed him. I splashed water over him and he returned my gesture. JJ then picked me up, kicking and screaming, dumping me in the sea. When we came out and had finished our little fight, we looked like drowned rats. I walked back up to our place. Josh was sat there, talking to George.

"Hey Josh, how'd it go!" I said, smiling.

"Fine" He grumbled, not looking at me.

"Did you pass?" I asked

"Yeah" he grumbled again

Well if he passed, things must have gone ok. I wondered what his problem was?  Lucie and George then came up with an idea that we made a music video together, on the beach and put it all together when we got back home. We all agreed, it would be so funny. So we made a music video to a remix of all the big songs that had been at number on whilst we had been at University for our first year. Some of the scenes were hilarious, it was going to be so funny to watch.

The sky began to get darker and the beach emptier. The boys returned from getting the wood for the fire and JJ lit it up, us all warming our hands as it was getting cooler. George came witha  bag of chips for each of us, no one in the group could really cook something on a fire. We ate our food and then we challanged the team to a game of Volleyball. Josh, JJ, George and Olly Versus Jaymi, Jessie, Lucie and I. We all knew who's team was going to win and who's team was going to lose. Jaymi picked me up to hit one of JJ's big shots, making it fall to the floor which he wan't very happy about when our team won. JJ then took the net down and changed the game to football. Josh was first to volunteer, taking the game seriously and going mad at Lucie and Jessie with their girly antics. Jaymi and I on the other hand, sat with his guitar and sang some songs. I loved times like this, when Jaymi and I used to sit and sing songs on his guitar. The others soon joined and we began to sing some Disney Songs as well as Wonderwall by Oasis, which is a classic. The sky got  to it's darkest which was the time when we decided that we really should be getting back. Gathering all of our things together, we made our way to the bus stop, climbing on an empty bus, our legs aching and our eyes tired from our very busy day at the beach. The bus pulled up at the stop and we clambered off, right in front of the University gates.

Each couple went to say goodnight to each other. Lucie gave George a little kiss on the lips and then a little Eskimo kiss. JJ and Jessie went for a full frontal, passionate kiss. Olly and Jaymi just stood, not doing anything because they didn't want to give anything away. I went to walk over to Josh but he moved away.

"What's wrong with you Josh? You've been off with me all day!" I asked

"Well maybe if you weren't flirting with that jerk in front of me"

"Flirting? Josh I haven't been fliritng with anyone"

"Who you calling  a jerk" Jaymi asked, walking to stand besides me

"I thought you were my mate Jaymi, you were the last person I thought would try to split us up"

"Split you up? I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Oh we all know you do!"

"Josh, Jaymi and I are best friends, we've been best friends since we were little"

"Oh best friends, is that what they call it now!"

"You know Josh, I thought you'd grown out of this childishness, obviously I was wrong!"  Jaymi exclaimed walking off with Olly. Jessie, JJ, Lucie and George made themselves scarce leaving Josh and I alone.

"Why Josh? I thought things were going well between us"

"Yeah, well....well maybe my mum was right, I should have been wary of you. I should never have got back with you Rach!"

"But we've had so many good times, and I thought your Mum loved me"

"It's called putting on an act, you should know, you've been doing it with me for months while flirting with Jaymi behind my back"

"I can't be bothered Josh, night"

I turned my back on him and walked away, leaving him stood there on his own.

"Rach! Rach...I....."

I just put my hand up and continued to walk.
