Okay, first these two are actually together and it's canon (yay!), and Mangrove loved and cared for Orchid so much that he was practically driving himself mad looking for her! He didn't really know what he could do about it, but he kept trying and trying. Mangrove went to see Queen Magnificent about her every day, and he probably went out looking for her a lot, too. We don't know much about this pair, but we do know that Mangrove was really determined to find Orchid, and when they reunited on the NightWing island, they were both so adorably happy! Orchid thought that Mangrove might have given up on her, but he said, and I quote (I think) 'Never,' he said fiercely. 'Never.'
So much love and devotion with this pair, I think it's really really cute. I don't really know what reason you could find not to ship them... so yeah, that's about it on what I have to say!
Just wanted to update since I haven't in like five million years.... Anyways, I don't really have much else to say.
