Sarah screamed and shrieked. "I Will Kill Her!!!" She stormed out screaming. "MIKAYLA! MIKAYLA! YOU WITCH. I WILL KILL YOU."
I grabbed her hand, "Sarah! Sarah! Stop." She was fuming. She was squirming and trying to break free from my hold. "Sarah! Sarah!"
*Sharp smack*
She slapped me! When she realised she gasped and so did Trixie. "Oh my gosh, Andrew. I'm so sorry! I didn't mean it." She tried to cup my face but I moved it away. "Don't do this or else you'll lose me, my respect and.....my love." She gasped, "What has this witch done, that you'd speak like that to me? Huh? Never ever have you threatened our relationship for some mediocre girl."
"You're one to speak, Sarah. You just slapped me. And she's not some mediocre girl, she's my friend. So like I said, stop this or else." She sulked.
"Ok fine." I let go of her hand and sighed. Remember that dinner I avoided yesterday? Yeah, well set your timers for three days cause it's about to go down.
At the library
I was now reading Psalm 119:105 when the last person I expected showed up and took a seat across me.
"Howdy Momma T." Trixie said, waving and smiling evilly. I ignored her and continued reading my Bible. "You can ignore me all you want but I won't ignore your hypocrisy. Weren't you the one who told me not to like people's boyfriends and yet here you are getting all cosy with Andrew." I glared at her whilst she clapped her hands.
"Trixie what happened to you? Since when are you this cold to me? Did all those seven years worth of memory mean nothing to you?" I asked hoping to get to her. I missed my best friend so much.
She just looked at me coldly and yawned. "Anyway, I'm just here to congratulate you on signing your death certificate........ because Sarah will kill you. I wonder if you'll be eating chocolate bars then. Guess we'll have to wait to find out." She cackled and left me shocked.
Dear Father in Heaven please cover me under the shadow of Your wings. 'Cosy, with Andrew'? There was no such thing. Then my brain replayed all those moments in the rain, the moments in church, the moments in the car and most importantly, the moments on the porch. That longer than necessary hug.
Trixie was right!! I was all cosy with Andrew but I didn't like him. Did I? I don't know what's worse; liking him whilst he has a girlfriend or not knowing if I liked him despite yesterday's occurrences. Guuuh!!!!
I decided to continue being friends with Andrew until I was clear of the feeling inside. Yeah that seemed like a good idea.
"Hey, whatcha thinkin' about?" I stepped out of my reverie and looked at Wayne.
"What?" I honestly didn't hear what he said.
"You seem distant. Were you thinking about Andrew? Huh?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows.
How did he know? "What?! No, I wasn't." I lied in defence.
"Ok, what were you thinking about then?" He asked squinting his eyes.
"I was thinking about the essays. How's yours coming up anyway?" I asked changing the subject.
"I don't believe you. But anyway, it's coming up ok. Weirdly enough, there's some fascinating stuff I didn't know about pharmaceuticals. Like Humira is the best-selling prescription drug in the world."
I chuckled, "What on earth is Humira?"
"How am I supposed to know?" Wayne complained. Drama king. Andrew, where are you to fend for your baby. Ugh!! Even involuntary my mind thinks of Andrew and his perfect blonde hair.
