Mikayla's POV
The day seemed to move slowly. I was extremely worried about Daniel. I prayed that Elijah was okay.
"Hey, Kayla. Are you okay?" Em asked looking at me. I shook my head in silence, allowing the pain to seep in.
"What's wrong? Does it anything to do with what happened to Daniel this morning?" She asked placing a hand on my shoulder expressing comfort.
"Yes. His brother met with a car accident. You should have seen Daniel, Em. He was petrified." I said fighting back the tears.
"I'm so sorry." She said pulling me into a warm hug. "Has he said anything ever since? Any updates perhaps?"
I looked at my phone again. "Nothing. I really pray that Elijah's okay." Ugh, stupid tears. I couldn't be happy for just a day? Really?
"Don't worry, Kayla. He'll be fine. Isaiah 53:5 says that He, being Jesus, was bruised for our sins, crushed for our iniquities. The sacrifice that brought us peace was upon Him therfore by His stripes we are healed." She said smiling at me.
"Amen. Thank you so much, Em." I exhaled and smiled. Everything was going to be fine. I just had to believe it and God would make it happen.

Daniel's POV
There he was. Elijah
I had run to the elevators and shakingly pressed the 2nd floor button. Due to all the anxiety, the pit in my stomach enlarged as the elevators shifted to the 2nd floor.
I ran around looking for Room 7G. I was met by a middle aged woman who had the name tag 'Callie'. I stopped her and asked, "Nurse Callie? I'm Andrew Johnson, where is my brother?" I asked
She pulled the mask off her face and smiled familiarly, "He's in Room 7G. He's from the theatre and still unconscious so please be gentle and quiet." She said.
"Theatre? What was he doing in theatre? What happened to him?" I asked frantically.
"Andrew, calm down. Your brother was involved in a head collision type of accident. He lost a lot of blood and suffered a lot of injuries especially to the head. So we were just checking how bad the injuries are. Thankfully, there were no internal damages. Just a broken arm and a few casualties to the head but we're doing everything to help him." Nurse Callie explained.
"Ma'am, can I see him?" I asked the her.
"Yes, of course. Room 7G, dear. Remember to be gentle." She said pointing us to Eli's room.
There he was. Elijah.
He was lying there motionless and I also couldn't breathe. The constant beeping of the machines was the only audibility in the room.
I ran to him and sat beside him. The tears just flowed for themselves. I touched his hand and it was cold. Very cold.
"Eli. I don't even know what to say, honestly. How did this even happen? You're one of the most cautious people I know. How did this happen?" I cried silently.
"Elijah. Why did you even leave early today? Please be okay. I don't know what I would do without you, Eli. Please, fight and get up." I cried silently
Dear God, please bring my brother back to me. I beg of you God. I had just reunited with my brother and we had so many plans together. To spread the gospel and allow God to use us together. I continued crying and pleading with God.
Then the hand I was holding began moving. It held me back firmly. "Eli! Eli, can you hear me? Eli!" I looked at him with teary eyes.
"Okay, Eli. If you can hear me please move your hand again." No response.
