"So tell me, what was this nightmare you had?" I asked Elijah whilst taking a bite out of my toast.

He grumbled and took a sip of his dark coffee. "It was about a friend of mine." He said and I slightly smiled as I was about to tease him.

"You have friends?" I asked causing him to glare at me. The look on his face was priceless.

I held my hands up in surrender, "Just kidding." I said chuckling. "Anyway, who is this friend? Is it anyone I know?" I asked.

He seemed hesitant at first and then sighed. "It's Noah." I hummed. Noah was Eli's childhood friend. One of the only people that understood him.

"What about Noah?" I asked. "He's dying, his soul is dying." He said bluntly. I knitted my eyebrows together in confusion.

"What do you mean he's dying?" I asked finishing off my toast.

"Well, let's just say his inner child is fading away and he can't realise it. Like, the part of him that ought to worship God is sinking in sin so much so he's suffocating." He explained.

I hummed. "So, what will you do?" I asked and he shrugged.

"Nothing, I just have to pray for him. Noah is in Cuba for business. I can't call him up for such, he won't listen. No one would." He said.

I tilted my head, "You, my brother are one weird specimen. So you're leaving tomorrow?" I said slightly clenching my jaw. I didn't want him to leave.

"Hmm." He hummed. He didn't want to leave either.

"Okay, in that case. What about ice cream at Tilda's? You know, she made Mikayla and I name her newest recipe." I said and he shut his eyes and slightly shook his head before chuckling softly. Barely audible.

"You know I don't do well with sugar." He said, and I rolled my eyes.

"And I don't do well without you." I retched. "That's too cheesy, but you know what I mean plus you'll get to meet Kayla before you leave for Nora." He frowned and looked at me tilting his head.

"You want to introduce me to your girlfriend? Damn that's quick. Aren't you afraid I'll scare her?" He asked causing me to chuckle.

"I am, obviously." He chuckled.

"But then the timing seems right. Don't you think?" I said tilting my head.

"No. No I don't." He said smirking.

"Anyway. I'll see you at Tilda's, somewhere before 5, okay? Ciao, I have a girlfriend to pick up." I said rushing to take my backpack.

When I was descending the steps I caught him glaring at me. I lifted an eyebrow in question. "What? Do I have something in my teeth or something?" I asked.

"What a narcissistic question." He said still glaring holes into my head. What changed his mood.

"Whatever you do, don't approach him." He said taking his briefcase and leaving.

"Wait-? Don't approach who?" I asked but he was gone and it cane back like a wave. The dream. Whatever you do, don't approach him, Tony. Don't approach Tony.

Mikayla's POV

I hurriedly brushed my teeth as I received a text message from Daniel, saying he was going to pick me up and take me to school. Perks of having a boyfriend.

I still needed to tell my parents, but I just didn't know how to. I feared their reaction and it was all I thought about last night.

"Bye Milli. Bye mom and dad. Have a lovely day," I said running out of the house and praying my parents don't ask too many questions. I really needed to tell them soon.
