Mikayla's POV

I was so excited. Today was sleepover day with Esmeralda and I was ecstatic.

She arrived at my driveway 15 minutes early and I was still looking for my book. It was a new book that my favourite author had just released. How Wishes Cannot Sail. I wanted to carry it with me because Esmeralda was such a huge fan of romance.

I mean, she's obsessed with telenovelas so I had a feeling she might love it. But I couldn't find it anywhere. By now my room was a mess and honestly made everything all the more frustrating. "Where is it?"

I heard a knock on my door.

"Milli, not the time. I can't find the book I want to show Em."

"You wanna show me a book?" I turned around and saw her.

"Esmeralda! What are you doing here?" I said hugging her.

She hugged me back, "You weren't coming out so I thought I'd come help you out." She said.

"I'm so sorry. I can't find my book. I've been looking for it, everywhere." I said still looking throught the piles of clothes, shoes and books I'd created.

"Hey, Kayla. What's this?" She said lifting a book off my vanity. Oh my good Lord.

"My book. I've been looking everywhere for it. Thanks Em. Now, I owe you double the treat as Tilda's."

"Yayy. Is there anything else you've lost that I can find?" We laughed.

"You girls are gonna be late. So sorry, you met Mikayla on your first day at school. If only you met a punctual friend, you poor thing." Millicent taunted me talking to Esmeralda.

"Shut up. Em, this is Milli, my elder sister and Milli this is Esmeralda, my friend."

"Nice to meet you, Milli. I've heard a lot about you." She smiled.

"Nice to meet you too, Em."

"Okay, I'll take some of your luggage to the car." Esmeralda said.

As soon as she disappeared from the door, Milli whispered. "I like this one."

"Bye Milli. See you all on Sunday."

The halls of Diamond High suddenly went quiet as the Princess of the day entered.

"It's my birthday, everybody!!" Sarah yelled with a microphone at her hand.

She waltzed inside the hallways and the students cheered. She was wearing a hot pink mini skirt and a pink corset. Before her, a pink carpet was laid out and Trixie was recording everything.

Her bodyguards were by her sides, removing everyone and making way for her to pass. Even Trixie had a bodyguard making sure that she could take clear shots.
