Andrew's POV
"What?! She f××××× slapped you? How dare she?! I'll give her a piece of my mind." Elijah said folding his shirt all the way to his elbows and cracking his knuckles.
"Woah, woah woah! Slow down tiger, you can't hit her." Although I so badly want to. He pulls me into a hug and growls low. Damn! He's infuriated.
"She made you cry. She hit you. Even Adelyn would never do that. Where on earth did she get the f××××× right to hit you? Huh?"
I cry silently into his arms and say nothing. My tears express the anger bubbling within me. "I miss Adelyn so much. I miss her so much it hurts, Elijah." I cry
He hugs me tighter, "I know Danny, I know. And I'm so sorry you went through all that. I should've been at that dinner to protect you."
I continue sobbing into his arms until I hear him sing mom's favourite song;
🎶Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me......
I once was lost but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see 🎶
I cried even more. "Adelyn! Adelyn!" Elijah rubbed my back soothingly. "Shhh it's okay, it'll be alright."
After comfortable silence in my brother's arms we broke the hug. He placed a hand on my shoulder, "You'll be okay, bro. You'll be fine." I furiously wiped the rest of my tears.
"Thank you. Thank you, Eli." I hugged him once more.
"I still can't believe that witch did that to you, the audacity. She must be punished one way or the other." I shook my head. I didn't have the energy for whatsoever he was planning.
"Come on, we'll do it together. I promise it'll be fun." He said giving me a baseball bat, his green eyes filled with mischief. I chuckled and took the bat exhaling. "Lead the way, brother."
Chinaware shatters!
Wine glasses crash into the floor!
Shatter!!
Smash!!
Crash!!
Double Crash!!
Triple Shatter!!!
The only sounds audible in the Johnson House. Eli and I were wrecking the entire kitchen. Destroying all of Emily's expensive Chinaware. In those moments I felt alive. The mischief making chills run through my spines but seeing Eli smiling after every crash made it seem normal. Like the bad thing was the right thing with the right people.
"Careful. You shouldn't hurt yourself." Elijah said. "Now, are you ready for the main course?" I missed this. Doing all sorts of mischief with him.
We took all of Emily's heels and whacked them with the baseball bats. Some broke, some bended in the most funny way, in odd shapes. I wanted every swing of this bat. It was therapeutic in a way.
"Don't waste your energy on her jewellery, Danny. There's still a beautiful SUV calling our names and my bat is hungry for dessert." Eli grinned. How was he so conniving? Then I remembered what he said about all the trouble he'd put himself into to stop the dreams.
"Aren't you supposed to be the bigger brother? Responsible and wise and stuff?" I asked causing him to chuckle.
"I am. And as your bigger brother, I order you to follow me into the garage and wreck some havoc." He said swinging his bat.
"The last one there owes the other a Maserati!" I said rushing downstairs.
"Oh, you little..." He said catching up.
