They tell me

they tell me my scars are beautiful

and kisses them to remind me

of how I healed

while you told me to hide them

because it was embarrassing

for others to see

they tell me my eyes are mysterious

and deep, full of meaning and passion

while you told me they were common

amongst all others

they tell me my laugh is their favorite sound

how it repeats in their mind

and makes them smile

while you told me it was too loud

how it sounded fake and forced

and it made you roll your eyes

they pull me closer to them

when they see my emotions change

my instant switch i have no control over

while you pushed me away

forced me to handle it on my own

and become more of a stranger

you wonder why I hate you so much.
