Skyler's POV

Things in my life have gone from normal, to crazy, to blissful, to something out of a soap. Sitting in my living room on a Saturday night, playing board games with my husband and his son is not something I thought I would do this early in life.

It has been a hectic and challenging few weeks, since we found out that Julian is Caspian's son things have been crazy. We told our family's about it and he has made arrangements for him, he has been talking with Vivian about having him live with us.

But she has been putting up a fight and it is taking its toll on Caspian, I have been staying out of it he is under enough stress as it is I don't want to add to it. I look up at him as he plays with Julian they look so cute together and they have been bonding.

I sit watching them play before the doorbell rings, Caspian looks up at me I get up heading for the front door. I open it to find Vivian standing there, I haven't had much contact with this woman Caspian has been keeping us apart but I want to talk to her.

Caspian wants to have his son with him, he has missed out on so much already and I don't want him to miss anymore; and I think I know the perfect way for everyone to get what they want.

"I'm just here to get my son" she says walking off but I stop her. "What?"

"Can we have a talk?" I ask and she gives me a nod. "Follow me"

I walk down the hall to my study closing the door behind us, I walk over to my desk facing her.

"What do you want to talk about?" she asks.

"Julian." I say. "Caspian wants him here. He wants to be a part of his life not just on weekends" I tell her.

"And you think I should give up my son to him. Why? Because he's a good man?" she asks angrily.

"Yes. He is a good man and that's his son too" I tell her and she rolls her eyes. "Look I don't want to start trouble but I have a proposition for you"

She shakes her head. "You sound just like him, I guess that's why he's with you" she spat and I smile.

"My offer is that you and Julian move in with us" I tell her and she frowns. "Believe me you're the last person I want in my house. But that little boy deserves to be with his father, he deserves a family"

She looks at me in shock before nodding I extend my hand to her, she looks down at it before looking back at me shaking it. I take my hand from hers walking over to my desk taking up the check I hand it to her.

"This will cover your move and anything else you might need" I tell her.

She looks down at it in shock before looking back at me I know it's more than she needs but I want her to know how serious I am.

"You think I need your money to move?" she asks and I fold my arms.

"I don't care what you do with it, I just care that my husband and his son are together" I tell her.

"With me out of the picture?" she says. "You don't want me to move in, your buying me off"

I shake my head. "Do you really think I'd use my money to get rid of you?" I ask and she frowns I walk up to her. "If I want you gone, you'd be gone and it would cost me next to nothing" I tell her. "I want my husband happy and he wants his son happy and you're his mother. Money can buy a lot things but not a mothers love, and I would never take that from him."

She looks down at the check before looking back at me and she sees the seriousness in my eyes, she nods putting the check up and I smile.

"Good I'll have your rooms ready" I walk over to my desk sitting down.
