Chapter Thirty Eight.

Third Person Perspective~

Rory was walking back down the road through the cut, going towards The Wreck, knowing that the others were there. It's not like she wanted to see them, so soon. She was still angry with all of their behaviour, and while their anger was just--in their own opinion-- with the two pair behaving so recklessly, she thought they didn't understand them or their reasons to do whatever they did. Rory also had to talk to her brother, knowing that she can't delay that one particular conversation any more.

Although, the pouge didn't feel too good about having turned on their friends as well now, as they all sat around a table on the dock in the restaurant that Kie's family owns.

"Look, he'll come around, okay? It's...he's just doing a JJ thing," John B sighed.

"And what about Rory? You're not worried about her?" Sarah asked.

"Rory lied to me...she's been hooking with Rafe, and then she lied about her and JJ, she's been hiding so much stuff from me,." John B shakes his head, anger was clear in his tone. "She was so...so angry today," He said.

"You know what, John B? You really hurt Rory," Sarah scoffed, siding with the brunette girl who has become her new friend. "Yes, she lied, but she did it so she'd not lose anyone. You don't even know what has happened with her... and you turned on her, so terribly," She added. "She's lashing out, doing things that are guided with anger and hatred...because she doesn't know how to go through those emotions, because of what she's been through...and you didn't even hear her out," Sarah continued. Her worry for Rory was off the charts. "No, instead, you taunted her without even knowing her reasons," 

"Oh, so you know why she was hooking up with your brother?" John B raised his eyebrows at his girlfriend. 

"Yes!" Sarah nodded. Pope and Kiara silent as they listened in on the conversation. "I know, why!" 

"Why?" John B questioned.

"It's not my place to tell, John B...this is Rory's personal life, she had her reasons for what happened between her and Rafe...and as much as I want to tell you about it, myself, it's not my secret to tell," Sarah replied, trying to explain her reason with politeness.

"John B...just--just promise us, that you won't lose it when she actually tells you about it?" Kie's voice was shaking as she spoke up. Guilt and pain had been coursing through her, Rory's words ringing in her mind on repeat. "She's afraid that we'll leave her...she has abandonment fear, that's the first reason why she never told any of us.." Kie sighed, heavily. 

"What that even supposed to mean, Kie? Is she in any danger?" John B frowned, worry seeping in.

"Again, it's our place to tell...but just promise us, that you'll listen to her, understand where she's coming from and then react...and that too...in an understanding, polite way..." Kie shakes her head. "Promise me, you won't get angry on her, please?!" Kiara almost pleaded as her eyes connected with John B's.

"I--I..." John B stuttered, worry and fear now gripping his mind. It was going to awful places, thinking about what might have happened. What was so bad tta happened to Rory that she developed such fears and started hiding stuff from him?

John B and Rory were the perfect siblings. Even though, sometimes they were complete opposites of each other and would have small, silly arguments and disagreements...they were perfect. In their own little world. 

John B showed his love to his twin sister by annoying her all the damn time. Ruffling her hair, eating the last of muffins that she'd keep safe, or the last slice of pizza. He'd change the songs that would be blaring from her speaking halfway through just to rile her up, hide her things just to see her stressing over to find them in the house. Tease her and tickle her when she was focusing on watching something on the tv, just to annoy her.
