Working on instinct like an extinct creature
Hands all lockin' me in, slide bleacherStreet lamps lit like they're trying to teach us
I've seen this scene before, real life
The nature wrote the score, my lines (my lines)Look into your eyes, and
I'm not a good guy
I'm not a good guyBut I know you're mine (bang)I know you're mine (bang bang)

"I look like a white cardboard box, Jay!" I whined looking at myself in the mirror, dressed in the white overcoat uniforms that nurses usually wear.

"You look cute, baby, don't pout," JJ kissed the top of my head as he went past me and grabbed another similar white coat--which fitted him perfectly, might I add, while mine was a little loose--as he he got dressed.

We had to look the part we're playing.

We had arrived back at JJ's house after stealing Ricky's ambulance and evening had fell pretty quickly after that as we waited, drank a couple of beers and talked about something silly while playing poker.

Now, it was almost 9.45 PM and we are supposed to leave to be on stand out for when the emergency call will come telling us that John B was having an attack of acute appendicitis.

Yeah, when I put it that way, I do see how dumb this plan is.

I just hope it works. I'm know it's too far fetched, but I don't see anything else working in our favour anymore.

If the plan works tonight, and we free John B, he'd have to run and go into hiding for the rest of his life, probably. But I'd take him being on the run, away from me and our friends and our home,  over him getting executed for a crime he didn't commit, any day.

"Let's go," JJ voiced, pulling me out of my reveries and uncertain thoughts. "It's almost time,"

"Yeah," I nodded, as JJ grabbed my hand. "Let's go, storm a jail and free my dumbass of a brother," I said, causing JJ to laugh.

-

We'd been sitting in the ambulance for too long, it was getting boring.

Honestly saying, no time spent with JJ can ever be boring to me, right now, both of us were on edge, awaiting for our call from the detention center. The air was thick with tension and we didn't talk much, just nonsense of here and there.

I was at cuddling into JJ's side as he was on the driver's seat, my head resting on his shoulder with my hands wrapped around his arm as the chilly air of the night blew in from the open windows.

"Waiting on your call, John B," JJ muttered, looking back over to the walkie-talkie, while tapping the fingers of his other hand on the steering wheel. "C'mon, buddy,"

"Patience, baby..." I kissed his shoulder. "I know he doesn't particularly like the plan, we had him convinced about it..." I said, trying to give him confidence.

"Yeah," JJ nodded.

"We'll get the call," I added, looking at the walkie-talkie as well. Not knowing who I was convincing though, JJ or myself.

I just want my brother out of that prison cell.

"He will," JJ said with more conviction in his voice as he looked down at me with a small smile tugging on his lips. "Don't worry. I got you," He intertwined our fingers and bring our joined hands up to his lips, kissing my knuckles.
