Rory~
"THAT'S a lot of wax on your board," Pope's voice broke the peaceful silence that coated us all as we were all huddled inside the surf shed. The chickens were clucking, the seagulls tweeting as wind blew by us.
I actually really preferred this silence as I sat on the red torn leather couch making a seashell bracelet for Kie, while she sat on the other end playing her Ukulele. The soft strumming of my guitar merged well with the tune Kie played, as Jackson had brought out my old guitar and was playing it, sitting on a tree branch nearby. Carter was reading a book, while JJ was waxing his and mine boards. Pope sat on a chair criticized, breaking the peace.
"Are you telling me how to wax my board, Pope?" JJ looked over to Pope, eyes sharp.
"Just saying that's a lot of wax," Pope retracted.
"No, no, no. You're telling me how to wax my board. Are you kidding me?" JJ countered, getting annoyed.
Kie and I shared a glance, as I frown not understanding why JJ was getting mad at Pope about something so silly. Their banter had caught the attention of Carter and Jack as well, as the strumming of the guitar stopped and Carter was watching the two best friends closely.
