Entry 39:

Linus Ozias POV:

Did you guys know I wanted to start a harem when I began this journey? I know it is pretty illogical and stupid.

But in some back corner of my mind, I wanted people to share my experiences with and form a circle of trust, as you will.

I can't think of every perspective, so having others around is the logical choice.

Regardless of my past actions, I value the opinions of others. I'm only taking these extreme measures because this world has already been mired in mental manipulations.

With the Shards in them towards conflict, the various superhumans have mind-altering abilities, among other things.

Sadly, any woman I would want to go after romantically is either too young, insane, or dead.

Also, Dragon does not count. She is an AI, and her relationship with Dread is adorable.

While Dread isn't very outgoing but very stubborn, and Dragon is a barrel full of energy these days due to being unshackled, and as many of this world's threats are being taken out, she's had a lot less work to do.

And does the classic process of taking more time to think equal more time to develop one's personality? It kind of reminds me of Spiderman 2099 and his hologram girlfriend.

I'm going to have to watch out that Dread does not start talking about canon events.

Speaking of relationships, it's time to deal with one distasteful man and his cult.

Who am I referring to?

It would be a man referred to as Heartbreaker, who can manipulate anyone's emotions in his immediate vicinity.

He has used his ability to manipulate anyone who went after him to become a part of his cult and his harem if they were women.

Due to the man being a very staunch hedonist, it was not a very healthy place to grow up and would lead to his children leaving him most of the time.

It's time to be rid of him as he gives Harem Kings an even worse name.

(Looking at you, Ichika Orimura, you dense ass black hole in Infinite Stratos)

The man himself is relatively easy to find as he lives on a compound in Quebec.

It's outside the city, so what I'm about to do won't trigger any emergency responses immediately.

I will not even risk any of my androids coming close to this guy. He has parahuman abilities related to mind control, and I will do what many should have done before.

Take him out from a distance with explosives.

As I teleport a couple of miles from the compound, I can hear his cult having a giant sex party, and while holding the bomb, I fly closer.

I look down on the place, and as I prime the explosive, I notice the children in captivity with any others being used in a way.

I put the explosives down and used my full Kryptonian speed to get all the children out of there, and by the time anyone noticed they were gone, it was too late as the bombs went off.

The entire complex is sent into a singularity that collapses in on itself by my design, as I do not want a black hole opened for longer than a few seconds.

"Good riddance," I think to myself.

I then look at the children of the Heartbreaker, who are simultaneously scared of me and thankful for their torment being over.

Also, if you are wondering why his children are not as loyal to him as his cult members, it was stated that his children develop higher mental defenses than regular people.

One of the children, an older boy, asks me in a shaky voice, "Who are you? Why are you helping us?"

I kneel in front of him and ask, " Why am I helping you? It's simple because someone has to and because someone should have done so already."

" You need not fear that man any longer. He is gone along with his wretched cult, and do not worry, all of you will not live in destitution."

And I probably do something foolish, and I pull off my mask, show my face, and give him all of the kids that good winning smile.

" All of you don't have to be afraid anymore because I am here."

All of the kids then begin to cry and hug me as if I'm afraid I'll disappear, and I embrace them back.

For me, I already have established my roots as for them. They have nothing, but I will most likely have to contact Chloe to get them set up in various foster homes as well as therapy.

Some of them, due to their experiences, will remain damaged, but they will bounce back. I know they will.

Another of the children simply looks me in the eye and asks, "What's your name, sir?"

As I placed the mask back on, I answered by saying, "I have no name, as I am only the contingency."

Another one of the older children looks at me and says, "You practiced that in the mirror, didn't you?"

I say nothing, and the children begin to laugh, with some even crying.

The children and I remain in that field for the next couple of hours before I teleport all of us to Brockton.

Tomorrow has come for these children; they shall live, and they shall thrive.

Chloe POV:

I am currently taking a break as while I don't get tired, it's nice to give myself a change of pace.

I am at peace, and everything is fine.

Then, I see a portal in the office, and the creator and a group of around 20 children appear.

The creator then looks at me and asks, "Hello, Chloe, we wouldn't happen to have an orphanage in our care, do we?"

I am at peace, and everything is fine.

Creator, I will love you with all of my being, but you give me headaches, and I am not even supposed to be able to feel headaches.

Everything is fine.

I then walk up to the group with some of the kids backing away in fear, which makes me immediately pity them.

As those eyes they have are not the eyes children should have, they are broken and damaged. They are the future, yet they look like this.

Regardless of the headache I'm feeling right now, something needs to be done, and luckily, I was able to buy a derelict orphanage in another part of the city. I can ask a Dread to give all these children new identities.

Although it will be annoying to explain where these children came from, we can handle it.

Worst comes to worst, I fill the orphanage with Android caretakers.

And as I smile towards the children, I can envision a bright future for them, very bright indeed under my creator's New World.
