Entry 56:

Linus Ozias POV:

You know, the one problem with being an angel in this universe? I can't shapeshift like the Devils can, and do you know how hard the life of an 8-foot-tall man can be in small spaces?

OK, so I assume you guys want some context, so the mission I need to protect the girl for a couple of weeks, and while her company isn't very dangerous, what I can sense around her is.

Around a couple of the guards of this church are corrupt and are taking bribes from the Devils to let them know if there are any possible members for their peerages.

Let's just say that they will not be showing up for tomorrow's mass.

The introduction was rather humorous because the church members began to bow down as soon as I appeared. At the same time, the nun in question just stared at me with her large green eyes.

How this nun has not become an angel baffles me. The purity is almost blinding.

If I were a degenerate, this amount of purity would be a turn-on to corrupt her.

But my tastes lie in kitsunes/scarlet hair and milfs nuff said.

I am still waiting for my time to go to Kyoto and find that nine-tailed beautiful woman. The daughter is just an add-on and seems like a wonderful girl.

(Do not judge me. Yasaka, to me, is one of my top three in DXD, along with Rossweisse and Grayfia.)

But back to the introduction, as soon as they began to bow to me, I scanned each and every one of their minds. I do not believe in privacy.

Specifically, I do not believe in privacy in high-tech or magical worlds.

Essentially, I am prescribing the notion of constant vigilance from a particular- one-eyed wizard.

I do not want to be one of those main characters who gets surprised or betrayed like those cultivation novel protagonists at the beginning of their stories because there will be no heaven-defying luck for me.

This may seem hypocritical because I have meta-essences flowing through me, but I stand by my hypocrisy.

As soon as I appeared, they bowed before me, with some even forgetting to bow at my majesty, and I spoke with my mask projecting my voice.

" Please rise, for in my presence we are all equal and know that I am only here for one purpose, and that purpose being the Holy Maiden may be under a possible threat."

This shocks them, with one being particularly nervous he will be dealt with later.

" I asked that you all do not speak of my presence here so as not to alert any possible leaks within our walls."

Some began to protest, saying it would be impossible for any of them to be traitors, for they all follow the Lord's will.

I almost laugh, and luckily, my mask is hiding my face because the number of stray priests has been increasing alarmingly over the past couple of years. Asia looks at me in silence, still in awe of my mere presence.

Oh, right, she has yet to meet an angel, so this will be her first contact, and actually seeing an angel is quite rare as with God's death, most are afraid to even leave Heaven in fear of falling.

I raised my hand, silencing them. " I am not accusing any of you; I am simply being open-minded, for while we all may be in the House of God, not all may believe in his teachings."

I turn my head towards a certain priest who is still sweating bullets. But I do not say anything.

This seems agreeable with them as they return to their business as I collapse my wings and dismantle my armor.
