Entry 86:

Rossweisse POV:

I am a Valkyrie, a Nordic Magic user, and Lord Odin's servant. I take great pride in my position.

But serving a God like Odin comes with its own issues, as the God is an enigma. He sometimes presents the dignity and power of an all-father. Other times, he's going around looking for what he calls titty bars and reading perverse magazines.

So I stand here waiting for an angel to arrive, which is surprising as Lord Odin does not often allow foreigners into Asgard, not out of fear but simply out of the fact that they are not needed.

When he arrived, I could understand why Lord Odin requested this Angel's presence specifically, as just being in his vicinity made me want to bow and serve.

From what I have read, he is one of the possible new archangels, and his aspect is control while I feel no attacks on my mind, nor soul. The presence he exudes is a paradox.

It is comforting and powerful, like relaxing within a fortress or a lone cottage within a winter storm. I was genuinely surprised when he bowed to me, as most powerful beings in the Supernatural world are prideful at best and nearly impossible to work with at worst.

My opinion of him was rather reasonable, and then he proceeded to tease me like I'm a schoolgirl and it's working as I can't help that I'm a virgin as I can't seem to hold a boyfriend for more than a month.

It was nice to hear that he appreciates my knowledge of magic, as even Odin does not acknowledge it, and I am often made fun of by my fellow Valkyries for my status as a virgin Valkyrie.

And when he mentioned that we may be working closer together, a few somewhat perverse images entered my mind, which I sent away immediately.

As we entered the palace, he remained silent, which was sad in a way, as his voice was nice to listen to. It had the perfect combination of pitch with a baritone type, feeling powerful yet comforting.

But I forced these feelings down as I needed to remain stoic and focused, but we are met with a rather unwelcoming presence, the trickster Loki.

He walks in front of us before we can reach the throne room as he says with clear disdain in his voice, "Virgin Valkyrie, I see you have fallen low as to befriend a pigeon of all things."

I grit my teeth as insults are fine toward me, but insulting an ambassador to his face is a dangerous road. But Anakim surprises me with his response, "Lord Loki, your reputation proceeds you, and I see that the rumors are true."

This causes Loki to raise his brow as Anakim continues smiling, "The rumors state that you seek fornication with animals often

This causes Loki to raise his brow as Anakim continues smiling, "The rumors state that you seek fornication with animals often. Is this true?"

This causes Loki to clench his fist and yell, "How dare you lowly pigeon insult me!" Anakim continues smiling as he says calmly, "But Lord Loki, I am not insulting you. I am simply asking a question, and I see that you have not had any activity for a while, and I understand I, too, like to enjoy my hobbies."

As Loki tries to get in the Angel's face, he can only reach up to his midsection with the Angel saying in a faux concerned voice, "I apologize, Lord Loki, but you will have to speak up as I cannot hear you down there."

Loki growls in frustration, forms a magic circle in his hand, and tries to cast a spell on the Angel, but before I can intervene, the Angel looks at me and winks as the magic blinks out of existence, with Loki looking confused.

And as Loki attempts to try again, the magic circles fizzle out. With the Angel standing there, I realize he is not even serious as he states while waiting, "Performance issues. It's not uncommon. One out of five, Rossweisse could hit harder, I say."

Loki then shouts as he attempts to strike the Angel and shouts, "You will fall before me!."

But the punch hits his armor, and Loki tries to punch him repeatedly, but the strikes do nothing; after a couple of minutes, Loki stops as he looks at Anakim in fear.

"Are you done? Good, now run along, Lord Loki, and find some animal to have "fun" with, as the beautiful Valkyrie and I have important business to attend to."

Before Loki can try something else, a booming voice can be heard all over the palace: "ENOUGH LOKI BEGONE!" It seems Lord Odin has seen enough, and Loki scoffs as he teleports away while eyeing the Angel with rage.

As I run over to check on the Angel, he looks at me, smiles, and asks, "I hope you did enjoy the show, as I could not allow him to insult a lady in my presence."

I may or may not have been a bit flustered as well. I am used to men attempting to impress others. It feels natural with him as I can say through my blush, "You did not need to do that, as I am used to such insults."

He then places his large hand on my shoulder as he states warmly, "Talent and potential should never be insulted, and I see much of that in you. As I stated again, Odin is lucky to have you now. We should not keep Lord Odin waiting."

I nod my head, smiling as we proceed to the throne room, and as I open the door, we enter as I bow to Odin, with Anakim doing the same.

I then take my place at his side, but the book he is reading is actually a centerfold magazine, which I take from him as he yells in surprise

Odin then lays eyes on me and turns to our guest as he says, "You are a long way from home, Young Angel. I welcome you to Asgard."

Linus Ozias POV:

I can always count on the arrogance and pride of the Gods with Loki's attempt to strike me. I had already analyzed his magic, and using my aspect of control, I disrupted it as Loki himself is only a low-to-mid-tier class God at best, and his physical strikes felt like a child attempting to slap a stone slab.

In addition to the fact that I've already planted nanites on him that will track his movements as well as record any conversations he has. I do not know if Odin has seen that, but I will have to trust that he did not and have faith in my Tinker of Fiction ability.

As I bow to Lord Odin, he welcomes me to Asgard as I respond appropriately, "I thank you for the warm welcome, Lord Odin, and I appreciate the guide you have given me. She was a wonderful host."

Lord Odin then gives bellowing laughter as he looks behind him to Rosswiesse as he states, "Look at that young Valkyrie. It seems you may have an admirer. You may finally be able to get yourself a boyfriend."

The Valkyrie in question then blushes as she remains silent.

Odin then turns his attention back to me as he gets serious, and the atmosphere of the room develops a heavy weight. "I thank you for not striking out against my wayward son, as it shows your patience. Now, let us get down to business, shall we not?"
