That wasn't what was concerning. What was concerning was the bookshelf wobbling for a moment before toppling over. And then it was like a domino effect, the rest of the book shelves began to topple over in the library.

One.

After.

Another.

Séraphine leaned against the back wall, watching as students darted out of the way and the Librarian stood up from her desk. Sebastian was standing there, his knuckles split from coming into contact with the hard wood. His chest rising and falling as they prepared themselves for the monumental lecture they were about to receive. She wasn't afraid fo the Librarian at her desk. Neither was Sebastian.

It was the tall, regal looking Slytherin with clouded eyes and a stern frown on his face. He stood there for a moment. The wand in his hand no doubt telling him the aftermath of the disaster and that Sebastian's hand was beginning to drip blood onto the floor. Ominis' voice was colder than a Dementor's presence. Anger and exasperation were the only emotions bleeding into his tone.

"What. Have. You. Both. Done?"

Punished. **Mature Read**

An entire hour.

Sebastian and Séraphine sat side by side in two chairs as the Librarian and Ominis stood across from them with matching irritated expressions. For an entire hour, the Librarian allowed Ominis to berate them for causing a such a ruckus on their first day.

It made her feel like a first year again when her and Sebastian had snuck Alihotsy into Garreth's cauldron——thinking that it would cause his latest drinking creation to make him laugh uncontrollably. Instead they overestimated how many leaves to put into the cauldron and it exploded all over Ominis who had been his partner for the day.

That lecture from Ominis had also been an hour with Professor Sharp watching from his desk as he filled out their detention slips...For a month...

Sebastian cleared his throat once Ominis was finished speaking, "We can fix this with a few Reparo's. It's not the end of the world, Ominis."

The other wizard raised his eyebrow, pointing his wand towards the fallen bookshelves. They all rose, but he didn't make any moves to put the books back on their shelves. "You two can think about your actions while placing all the textbooks and novels back on the shelves." Hearing the silence from Sebastian, he quickly added, "Without magic."

He let out a scoff, "There's hundreds of books. It would take days to accomplish this. Surely the library can't be in this state while all the other students are studying for upcoming exams."

The Librarian glared at him. "No. It can't." She agreed, but then gestured over to the clock, "But I do have the authority to close the library down for the next few hours."

Ominis nodded, "Then you both will clean the library up as much as you can for the next few hours without magic." He stressed, lips pressing into a firm line. "And then I'll meet you both for lunch."

Once both Ominis and the Librarian left the scene of the crime, Séraphine leered over at him. "This is your erreur and I'm being punished for it."

"That's why the vows say for better or for worse. This is the worse part." Sebastian quipped, standing up and holding his hand out to her.

She promptly ignored his hand, standing up to move past him. "I haven't taken any vows."
