"What if Ominis is in danger? What if you're in danger?" Before he could interject, she silenced him with another rhetoric. "Would you simply stand by if I was in danger? No; even with glass shards embedded in your side, you would fight until your last breath to save me. So do not start with me because I'm ending this conversation."
He blinked, a dismayed smile forming on his lips as he stared at her. "Maybe I want to be a hypocrite."
"You're too noble for that." Séraphine chided lightly, "We should start heading back soon. I told Draco and Ominis to meet us in the Undercroft over an hour ago."
"Do I get that back?" She followed his eyes to the half empty bottle of Fire whiskey she'd discarded next to them.
Séraphine raised both her eyebrows, "Only if you answer this difficult question for me."
He made a face. "I'm terrible at riddles, Ravenclaw."
"It's not a riddle."
"Then what is it?" Sebastian looked at her warily, eyes twinkling with mirth.
Séraphine smiled brightly.
"What is a 'T-waht?'"
Bloodroot and a Jealous Brute
They found Draco, Ominis, and Luna in the Undercroft. It was comical really. Luna and Ominis seated on one side with Draco looking at the dreamy Ravenclaw with an exasperated expression.
"I enjoy this secret hangout. It's like having friends." Luna remarked happily.
Draco opened his mouth, likely to say something snide, when Ominis cut him off abrasively. "You do have friends."
"C'est la vérité." Séraphine nodded, walking up. "I am one of them and so is 'Bastien."
Luna peered over at him, "Does this mean I can call you 'Bastien, as well?"
The only slightly inebriated wizard summoned a loveseat with his wand. Only it ended up being a single seater instead, but he merely pulled down Séraphine into his lap again. "No. Only Séra calls me that." It wasn't unkind, but he was rather blunt which made her nudge him. Then he leered over at the blond Slytherin, "Care to explain why I got asked what a 'twat' was this evening?"
Draco sent her a scathing look, "Snitch."
"You should have told me then what it was." Séraphine replied simply, shifting her attention to Ominis. "May I have la conteneur? You still have it, non?"
Ominis nodded and levitated the glass container over to her that had been perched on a nearby table. "I want a full explanation. Start At the Beginning."
Séraphine hesitated briefly, wondering if Luna should also be present for a detailed explanation. But then she noticed the way Ominis sat back into his seat in a relaxed manner. He wasn't stiff nor twirling his wand in his hands; something he tended to do when he was overly anxious. He was calm. He was open-minded.
And she was willing to bet that Luna brought him peace.
It took a bit of time to catch Draco and Luna up to speed with everything that had happened from their time in 1890. Ominis understood easily about her plan with the Dark magic and finding a way to destroy the Dark Lord with an elixir. He also agreed that while the connection from the past to future was odd, it shouldn't be there primary focus. Sebastian didn't argue, but was working on finishing the last of the Fire whiskey to her bemusement. He simply did not listen.
