Queen Mother's POV
"Mother, thank you for joining us." Relian bowed to me as well as the Courtier.
I curtsied for my son. "What is it Your Majesty?"
"I was just about to brief the Courtier."
"Of what?" I asked with concern etched on my face. I don't trust the Courtier. I don't think we should be telling him anything.
"The events of the past days."
"Isn't it a need to know? Is it necessary for him to know of everything we do?"
"I trust him."
"I don't."
"Queen Mother Nova, I know we have had a rough past -"
"You championed for my execution! You fueled the king into accusing Adryan of treason and then suggesting the idea of his execution! How can I trust a man who wanted to be get rid of half of my family?"
"I apologize. I assure you that my intention, my only intention is to serve the king."
"That being said, you should know that today's marriage was a step towards controlling Adryan."
"Can a wife alone be the solution Your Majesty? Prince Adryan is the most hard-headed person I know."
"There is something else-"
"Relian do no tell him!"
"Adryan is a father." He has disregarded me. "Selina bore him a son. We have the boy. All we need to do is get Adryan to see what he's going to lose if he keeps up his wave of destruction."
"Oh my! Never in a thousand years... King Treytan once said that if anyone was to father bastards it would be Prince Adryan."
"This is something I want you to keep silent. No one should know." Relian instructed him.
The Courtier bowed at once. "I will not speak of it."
"I have down what you wanted! I want my son!" Selina stormed into the room.
"Selina, calm down." Relian told her. "Please approach so that we can use our inside voices."
Still adorned in her wedding dress she marched towards the king. "Where is my son?"
"I just spoke to Keli and Samira. The project nice is in the safety of the palace." I informed her.
She sighed in relief but she is still upset. "When do I see him?"
"After the consummation of your marriage." I informed her.
"How? How am I supposed to do that when he's not here!"
"You'll go north to him. You will inform him if your marriage and the baby. Then you will consummate your marriage and then, only then when the Courtier and the Royal Officiant can prove it to be true will you see your son."
"Why me? I must be close to the king!"
"You gave been graciously reassigned." I smiled at him. "Temporarily. The sooner the two love birds do their business,the sooner you can get back to your duties as the king's pet. Relian, do you agree?"
"Sounds good mother. Selina, safe travels."
Ember's POV
"You have to help me... soldiers from your kingdom are here! They are burning down everything! It's only a matter of time-"
"Calm down." I spoke calmly. My eyes moved towards the edge of the camp. I'm looking out for the Royal Guard. Father warmedme that the king ordered them to bring me back. "The girl?"
