I would stand in the pouring rain,
waiting for you.
I would stay for hours, days, years,
waiting for you.
My cloths dripping.
I still wait.
No matter what weather,
I will always wait for you.
Waiting for you to say,
"I'm ready."
Then I would take your hand,
In my cold, wet, hand
and never let go.
Your warmth would then help me survive.
So please don't let go.
For I have waited for you to hold me.
All I ask is for you to stay
"Please?"
I beg.
But you said,
"Goodbye."
I swear I was going to cry.
But all I did was sigh,
Knowing it was my time.
Your warmth no longer kept me alive.
Now I die,
But only on the inside.
Now I wait for the sun,
To give me warmth.
But in the end
Even the sun leaves me.
I no longer wait.
For I must change my fate.
This,
and you,
Was all a big mistake.
