From afar,
I just admire you,
your voice,
your smile,
your laugh,
and the way you squint your eyes.
From afar,
I will smile.
Your happiness makes me happy.
From afar,
you seem so perfect.
The way your hair sits,
the way your skin moves when you talk,
and the way your eyes linger around the room.
From afar,
I stare,
observe,
and take in your essence.
From afar,
you look at me,
you smile,
I look away.
From afar,
Can you tell how fast my heart beats?
Can you see it pumping out of my chest?
From afar,
I turn to look at you,
but you're gone.
I look down.
*tap * tap *tap
I turn around.
Up close,
You're even more perfect.
We smile.
