In the depths of shadowed thoughts I tread,
A question whispers, as cold as thread:
"If I killed someone, would you stay?
In that darkness, would love hold sway,
Or would you cast me far away?"
Oh, how tangled and murky these waters be,
Where morality and love meet and flee.
But let me paint a canvas, vivid and true,
To explore the depths of your love so true.
Love, a force that binds and mends,
Evokes compassion that seldom wanes.
Yet, my dear, let not your heart be swayed,
For grave sins, conscience they shall invade.
A heart in love may yearn to forgive,
To embrace the broken and help them live.
But murder stains the soul, a scar so deep,
An act that forever haunts those who weep.
In seeking answers, let's not forget,
The value of life, a precious asset.
If I, in darkness, extinguished a flame,
Would you still see me, hear my name?
Love, at its core, seeks truth and grace,
But justice must find its rightful place.
For the blood that stains these trembling hands,
Demands a reckoning, as justice commands.
Seek redemption, my sorrowed soul,
For true love's light to once again unfold.
But if I stray too far from mercy's door,
May you find solace, finding love once more.
So, my dear, know this truth I share,
With every breath of sincerest prayer.
If I killed someone, stained by despair,
Your love may waver, but still I'd care.
For the soul is vast, filled with light and dark,
And love, fragile as a whispering spark.
Yet, the depths of love, that bond so strong,
Can guide us through, where we've gone wrong.
