Athens, Greece 616 BC

I wave Tristan over and prepare to introduce him to the two newcomers of our city.

"This is Cole, and his brother Elijah," I say. "They traveled here to help build the new temple Father wants."

Tristan holds out his hand, but his face remains unfriendly. "Nice to meet you," he says to both of them in turn. "How long do you think this project will take?"

"Tristan!" I scold, "A question like that and they will think you are in a hurry to have them make their leave." Though I'm sure that's exactly what he was getting at.

"I was only asking out of curiosity, my love," he smiles and kisses my cheek. Then looks smugly over to Elijah who was clenching his jaw. "I was also hoping it would be ready in time for our wedding," he adds.

"My apologies," Cole speaks up, "I didn't realize congratulations were in order."

"Well now you do." Tristan's voice has the undertone of a warning, and I know neither of them miss it.

The next morning, Tyler sticks to the plan and heads out to spend the day watching Tristan, while Paige and I head to class.

I didn't tell either of them about my run in with Finn after returning from the store yesterday. And when Paige asks about where I came up with idea to mix the ice cream and peanut butter, I just shrugged.

I then went to bed early to avoid their all too observant eyes and called Elijah. Who was still on facetime with me when I woke up this morning. It wasn't as good as waking up next to him in person but it was better than nothing. However, It didn't work to keep the dreams away though. I still saw his green eyes every night on the bridge and felt the pull to go to him. The universe begging us to be together. I still wasn't certain if we were even together from a relationship perspective, but I don't think destiny cares so much about the label. It was wanted us to be physically near each other. Like two pieces locking together

Stopping to gather my books for the morning classes from my locker, I am mostly relieved that I don't see Finn anywhere. I know he is here somewhere though, because I passed his car in the parking lot. Maybe he decided to use his own locker as a place to suck face with Callie and spare me the visual. One could wish anyway.

The morning is uneventful, and by fourth period physics I still haven't heard from Tyler. However, I did get my first Finn sighting of the day when he and Callie chose to eat each others faces outside my classroom door. I quickly turn to face the windows before he could see that I noticed him, and don't move until I hear the teacher make her way to the front, calling the class to order. I wait until Callie passes by on the way to her seat before sneaking a glance to the door. Thankful that he was gone.

The class goes by fast when we are asked to partner up for a lab. And with no news from Tyler, and no Finn and Callie drama currently in progress, it gives Paige and I chance to be normal high school students. With the added benefit of having super powers that allow us to slightly disrupt our nemesis' project.

When the bell rings for lunch, I skip the line and go straight for the wall and see Tristan in his usual spot. Yet Tyler is nowhere around. I start searching the courtyard for him, but when I don't find him anywhere I start to get really worried.
