Finn
"Okay, that is super freaky. Am I dreaming right now? Am I dead?" I ask nervously after watching Tristan's Houdini act.
"Finn, sit down," Alice, gestures to the bed and my mind flashes back to making love to her on that very spot. Then morphs into her having sex with Eli on it.
"I think I will take the chair," I mumble, before having a seat.
"So, what do you want to know?" she asks nervously.
I didn't realize I was going to be able to ask her whatever I wanted. "Okay. Well, let's start with how you threw Tristan out a window without even touching him."
She smiles, "Like this." Then moves her hands until a breeze in the room causes the chair to roll back into the wall.
"How do you do that?" I ask in amazement.
"I just can," she shrugs,
"And Paige can do that, but with water?" I ask, and she nods yes.
"I saw what your boyfriend could do," I am unable to control my expression when talking about it, but she doesn't say anything, "And his brother?"
"Cole."
"Yeah, Cole. What does he do?" I ask.
"He's the one who trapped you in the woods with those vines."
"So, he controls trees?"
"More like he controls earth," she chuckles.
"Air, water, fire, and earth," I realize.
"Yes."
Sounds like a perfect match, I think to myself. "Anything else you can do?"
"Actually, yes. But I will have to show you that one later," she tells me, and starts chewing her lip, letting me know it's something she is worried about.
"That's fine," I assure her, "Moving on."
I debated asking her this next question, because I didn't want to upset her, but I also really want to understand, so I ask anyway. "Why did you say for Ty to help Paige keep an eye on things? Did you mean like the Tyler guy you used to be best friends with in Seattle? The one who died in the car accident?"
"That's kind of part of the other thing I can do. It has to do with seeing ghosts," she explains.
"Wow. So, Tyler is actually downstairs right now?"
"Yep."
That is hard to wrap my head around, but I will ask for more details later. She obviously doesn't want to expand on it right now.
"Tristan and Callie?" I ask next.
"Sirens."
"Right. Sirens. Of course," I say like it is a completely normal answer and I'm not freaking out on the inside.
"Don't you remember the blocks of time you would miss?" she says. "That was Callie. She was doing that to you, Finn."
Hearing this makes me really angry. When Alice questioned me about why I left English class that night I was at her window, I couldn't remember what happened. I had been losing blocks of time for awhile and I was getting really scared. With my sisters diagnosis, I was worried that something similar might be wrong with me too.
"But why? Why would she do that to me?"
"I'm not sure. I think to keep you from me."
"But why would she even care?"
