Chapter 1

"JUST LISTEN TO ME!" I heard my dad yell at my mom.

" YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S NOT LISTENING!" I heard my mom shoot back at my dad.

They've been fighting for the past week. I didn't know what to do, so I tried to stay out of the house or keep myself distracted. It went silent. I went down stairs to see my mom walking to the bathroom while my dad took out the air bed. No one said a word for the rest of the night.

I woke up to the noise of my phone ringing. It was my best friend Casey. We've been best friends since we were 5. Now, I'm 22 and Casey is 23. We still are very close, but she moved to New York with her boyfriend Rex to peruse her dream of being a fashion designer.

I really miss her. I mean REALLY miss her. She told me that some YouTuber was talking about here designs, and her business ,Flawless Fashion, is starting to do really good. Seconds after I ended the call, my mom called me to come downstairs. I put on a robe and made my way downstairs.

"Honey, we need to talk," my mom started the conversation, concerning me.

I replied, " Yes?"
"Your father and I divorced," my mom begun. "Because of this, your father and I decided that sending you to London would be the best for you," my mom finished, seeing the tears in my eyes. She gave me a hug. I opened my mouth but nothing cane out.

My mind was going crazy. My dad walked into the room gave me a hug.
Before I knew it, I was in LAX saying goodbye to my parents.

As soon as I walked away, I saw them go their own ways. Trying not to cry, I boarded the plane with my turquoise and pink backpack. During the plane ride, I edited some videos and fell asleep.
