Ash and the gang find out that they're lost and find a bunch of traps leading to Brock supposed dieing and Ash and Misty getting kidnapped by a girl named Melanie who introduce them to the Hidden Village. Misty attempts to catch a Oddish but is stopped by a Bulbasaur who Ash wants. Brock is revealed to be alive and they protect the village from Team Rocket. Ash is able to get Bulbasaur and Misty is allowed to take Oddish with her. They leave the village with Brock getting his heart broken.
