Ash and the group team up with Team Rocket to escape from the St. Anne getting help from Misty's water Pokémon to escape. But when James kicks Magikarp into the ocean because of disobidance, it turns into a Gyrados and attacks the group but Misty calms it down and the Gyrados becomes a member of her team but a storm sends the two groups to be shipwrecked on a island.
