Ash, Misty and Brock arrive in Celadon City and go around the city and Ash heals up his Pokemon when they decide to go to the Game Corner for some fun when they accidentally klick a switch leading to them learning that the Team Rocket base was under the game corner and head in. Its revealed that Jesse, James and Meowth are there to meet up with the boss of Team Rocket Giovanni who allows them to protect the base while he goes to see how his "special project." Ash and the group head through the base fighting off Team Rocket members and finally gets the Silph Scope and they head off back to Lavender Town. The Team Rocket Trio are blamed for this and are forced to clean the base up by Giovanni.
