Ash and the group watch Gary's fourth round battle where he wins against Melissa. Professor Oak calls Ash up and tells him that everybody in Pallet Town is rooting for Ash to win which makes Gary jealous. Ash then goes onto win his fourth match and him and Gary move onto the top 16.
