episode 48: who gets to keep togepi?

Ash and the group find the egg is acting mysteriously and end up getting into a battle with Team Rocket over the egg where it hatches into a brand new Pokémon nicknamed by Meowth as "Togepi". Ash, Misty, Brock and Team Rocket have a competition to determine who gets to keep Togepi. Misty wins as Togepi thinks that she's it's mother but Ash and the group end up sending Team Rocket flying thanks to the help of Snorlax and a now still disobeying Charizard.
