"Come on Tango! You've definitely been overworking. A lake day is EXACTLY what you need!" Jimmy put his hands on his hips. He was prepared to sass talk Tango until he agreed to come to the lake.

"Jimmyyyyy. I've got stuff to do! Besides, I've never really liked lakes anyway..."

"But everyone will be there! Joel, Grian, Impulse, Etho? It will be fun!"

"I already said I can't."

"Pleaseee? For me?" Jimmy looked at Tango, puppy eyes glittering. Tango sighed and set his pen down.

"Fine. But I'm NOT swimming." Jimmy cheered! They were gonna have a lake day! And no matter what Tango said, Jimmy was definitely planning on pushing him into the lake. It was gonna be amazing.

"Yeah! Ok we're leaving in 5 minutes. Grab whatever you need and then we can get going. I think Cleo and Scott are already there setting up." Jimmy rushed out of Tango's bedroom excitedly, leaving Tango himself to get ready.

Eventually, after getting ready and driving over, Jimmy and Tango made it to the lake. Quite a few of their friends were already there. Pearl had already set up a game of volleyball with Martyn, Scar, and Cleo. Grian and BigB sat near the lake, dipping their toes into the water. Scott was fussing over the assortment of treats being unorganized while Impulse desperately tried to keep Bdubs away from said snacks. Jimmy couldn't have been more excited.

"Hey guys! What's up!" Scott was the first to respond.

"Jimmy! Welcome! Oh and Tango too? How'd ya manage to get him to come? Last I checked he was sucked into one of his projects! " Jimmy chuckled.

"He's stubborn, but he's a sucker for me." Jimmy expected Tango to quip back but was surprisingly met with silence. Tango always joked back. Something was off.

"Well I'm glad to see ya here Tango. I suggest you two go join volleyball, we're still waiting for everyone else to get here." Jimmy nodded and grabbed Tango's hand, pulling him towards the sand pit where their friends were playing. Maybe Tango was just tired. Maybe volleyball would wake him up? Jimmy hoped so.

"Hey Tango! You're on our side!" Cleo shouted excitedly. Tango smiled a bit and dropped Jimmy's hand before heading over to join Cleo on the court.

"Guess you're with us then Jim." Martyn motioned him over.

"Fine by me! Serve it up!"

Pearl threw the ball high in the air. Using her wings to gain some height, she spiked it. Scar dove for the ball, barely bumping it before it touched the ground. Martyn reacted quickly and set the ball over the net. As it soared, Tango intercepted it with a bump. Cleo set the ball, and Pearl once again spiked it. This time, the ball flew to the ground with a hard thud.

"YES! Score!" Cleo, Pearl and Tango all high-fived. The game went on a bit longer, the two sides trading points until Scott eventually called them all over to the snack table. In the end, Cleo's team won, 9 to 7. Jimmy was excited to see Tango happy while playing, but he still hadn't said anything since they arrived at the lake. It was strange. Tango was always talkative.

"Good game Jimmy! You've got a great set!" Pearl commented as she stuffed a cookie into her mouth.

"Thanks! Your spike is a killer! You gotta teach me how to serve in the air like that!"

"Sure thing!" Pearl paused, "Hey uh, is Tango ok? He hasn't really been acting like... well like Tango." Pearl and Jimmy both looked over at Tango, who was listening to Bdubs talk about something or other.
