To love Writing
To truly love her
With a passion
Much greater than just a fancy
Will always end in heartache
For Writing, she has no soul mate
Bust instead she goes from one to another
Delighted by their pens
Which slowly trickle down a papers back
Like the fingers of a lover
To love Writing
Is to be mad with jealousy
Because everyone wants to use her
In one way or another
For pleasure, for money, or for personal gain
And all the while
To love Writing
You must accept this
Knowing you cannot save her
From this abuse
To love writing
Is to realize she will never be faithful
And will often abandon you
When you need her the most
Ultimately though
When you truly love Writing
Even with all her faults and failures
You will find that you both appreciate what you have
And you'll realize
That you both understand what it is
To just have
Each other.
