I put on this face
Smile
And pretend everything's in place.
I think I might be too sensitive
Which is bad, for a guy.
Especially one who wants
What I want, to belong.
I put on this face
Smile
And pretend everything's in place.
I think I might break too easily
Which is bad, for a guy.
Who needs to appear strong
So others find him attractive.
I put on this face
Smile
And pretend everything's in place.
I think I might be too anxious
Which is bad, for a guy.
That everyone relies on
To help them through their day.
I put on this face
Smile
And pretend everything's in place.
I think I might be too sad
Which is bad, for a guy.
That everyone counts on
To make them chipper.
I put on this face
Smile
And pretend everything's in place.
Because who could love me
If they knew what went on
Inside this head
Of mine.
