Tag Duel Chaos

"We have to tag duel against the Paradox Brothers?" Mokuba had called me after investigating Crowler following a bit of a rant fill letter to Seto, but it didn't find much outside of the fact that Crowler was responsible for Titan terrorizing us, and for Chazz having all those cards as well as getting the Paradox brothers to duel Jaden and I. "You have to win, Lisetta. Their Gate Guardian is the hardest monster to beat and caused my brother and your dad a lot of trouble ten years ago." I remember based on Mom's stories that Gate Guardian was formidable, but my Luster Champion could do it, and that meant I would need to believe in my cards to the fullest. "Paradox Brothers, they were the ones who dueled my dad Yugi. Gate Guardian is their ace, but I can stop them." They smirked but that faded when they saw me, "Is that?" One of them spoke while posing in surprise, as the other finished, "A mini Yugi?!" I grumbled in annoyance, "I'm his daughter, Lisetta." 

They smirked yet again after the surprise wore off, "We shall see if you are worthy of the deck he has built for you then!" My turn came first as I shouted, "Go, I fusion summon my ace! Come forth, Luster Champion!!" I finished my turn by setting a card down for Jaden, "I end my turn. You're up Jaden!" He summoned Burstinatrix in defense position, then checked his hand after drawing a card. "I got this! I summon Elemental Hero Clayman and I'll fuse him with Burstinatrix to summon Rampart Blaster!" He used the face down cards I left for him along with Rampart's ability, "I activate both of our face down cards, Banner of Courage!! Now go Rampart attack their life points directly with your effect!" Their points dropped down to seven thousand as I smirked, "I draw!" The brothers were frustrated due to Luster Champion's attack and defense which were at four thousand, "Go Luster Champion! Attack Defense Wall!" 

"I activate the spell card Horn of the Unicorn! Now Power up, Luster Champion gain seven hundred more attack and activate your effect!" They were backed up against the wall as I activated my second Polymerization card, "Go forth! Dragon Champion of the Ice!!" My grin didn't leave as I activated another spell, "Go, Giant Trunade!!" They were appalled my the turn of events as I shouted, "Go, Dragon Champion, attack their Gate Guardian!"

Lisetta really was powerful as a duelist like she could tell almost hear what cards were in her deck, "No!!" They shouted as their life points took a hit and dropped to five thousand fifty, "I end my turn with a face down card!" I took over for her and saw what card she placed down, one of the brother's monsters destroying her Luster champion with a trap card, "I activate my trap card, Hero Signal!" Summoning Bubbleman to the field, I had activated polymerization, " I fusion summon of of the best in the nest, Elemental Hero Tempest!!" It flew out  as the brothers became defenseless with five thousand lp left, "Go, attack his life points directly!" I activated another one of my quick play spells, Tag Team Brawl, which caused Dragon Champion of the Ice to join in the attack and up the damage. "That's game!" We both shouted as their life points dropped to zero, with the crowd cheering over and over for our victory, "Nice job, Jay!"

Upon closer inspection, Lisetta really did look like her mom and dad in a perfect mix but she just smiled as I stared, "I know I'm pretty but there's no reason to stare, dork." My face heated up a little as she laughed, complimenting me on my dueling skills. "I don't think they have to rhyme, maybe just make sense." She held her hand out to me to help me up after the weight of our friends knocked me off my feet, "I'll help you write it if you want, Jay." My face just got even more red as Alexis chuckled, but she did go to help me a coupled days later when Chazz tried to leave, instead being kidnapped by a literal dueling monkey codenamed Wheeler. "Jay! Help!" Liz shouted as Mindy and Alexis along with her Jasmine watched, Syrus cheering me on as I dueled Wheeler who was making sure Lisetta didn't fall from the tree he placed her in, even though she was technically his hostage. 

"Here, take it!!" Throwing me her Luster Dragon, I summoned it and fused it with my Burstinatrix to summon Elemental Hero Draconic Pyromance, "Go, Flame Meteor Shower!!" Destroying his monsters, I barely got the upper hand when I realized that if I won, Wheeler would have to go back to the facility he escaped from. Barely defeating him in a few more turns as he gave Lisetta back to me, "Time to give us Liz back, Wheeler." She laughed while coming down from the tree, "He was surprisingly charming for a monkey, now leave him alone!" She tackled one of the guys in suits down while telling them, "I will call Seto Kaiba here right now if you don't stop! My uncle will beat the daylights out of you!" They relented and let Wheeler go, the rest of us finding out that Chazz went home, "Geez, he's a sore loser." She looked at me and gave a gentle smile, "But some time at home might help him." 

Banner then found us and told us how much class we would have to make up, making all of us sweat from knowing it wouldn't be short. "At least we're doing it together!" She laughed which made me chuckle, "Yeah!
