"A duel off organized between Bastion Misawa, Jaden Yuki, and Lisetta Iblis had been organized to assign our representative for the match against North Academy." The announcement went off which made the purple and raven haired teen surprised, "I'm a candidate for that match? I thought it was just supposed to be between Bastion and Jay." My friend told me, "Apparently Crowler opposed Zane's suggestion for Jaden by proposing Bastion, and then the headmaster proposed you to make it fair." A sigh left her as she headed for the arena since the match was starting, and she hadn't showed up yet. "Sorry I'm late, I just learned that I was even an opponent in this match." Her duel disk activated as she helped Jaden combat Bastion, "Let's go, Sapphire Luster Dragon!" She summoned the monster, which blocked Oxygeddon's attack and destroyed the card, preventing Jaden from using his Hero Barrier trap card. "I play Horn of the Unicorn and set two cards face down!"

Jaden's turn consisted of using Burstinatrix to attack, with Sparkman taking out Bastion's life points, "Don't forget about me, you two!" She shouted while playing Pot of Greed, "I tribute summon Twin-Headed Ice Dragon! Go forth and rain hail upon his Hydrogeddon!" It attacked while taking out all three of his monsters due to it's effect, "I activate my spell card, Autonomous Action Unit!" She summoned her Sapphire Luster Dragon back, "Now attack his life points directly and end this, my trusted dragon!!" Bastion was knocked out as it came down to Jaden or her for the opportunity to be representative, "I place two face down cards and end my turn!" Crowler was in a rage that Bastion was defeated but still hopeful that Lisetta could cream Jaden for him, in front of all their spectators as revenge for the humiliation he believed that the Slifer student caused, "I summon Wildheart!" He shouted as Liz smiled to herself discreetly, and threw the match so Jaden could be the representative, which Jaden noticed but didn't get the chance to question.

"Good game, Jay. Make the school proud okay?" Her smile was blinding as she congratulated him but he whispered, while pulling her into a quick hug, "Why did you let me win?" Liz had told him, "Because I think you should be the one to duel their representative. Besides, I'm too busy trying to make sure Chumley doesn't deplete the dorm of your money for food." He smiled gently at her, making her return it while telling him, "If you want to win, then I'll help you. Take these cards." She handed him her favorite trap cards, Tyrant's Temper, Tyrant's Tantrum, and Tyrant's Tirade. "They may come in handy." She pecked him on the cheek before she left, a hard red blush on his face as all the boys from different grade levels were jealous, "Wow, I didn't know she felt that way about Jaden." Syrus exclaimed as Chumley responded, "It was kind of obvious Sy. She looks at him like how I stare at a perfect grilled cheese."

Day of the School Duel

=================================================

"He's really practicing hard, it's nice to see but I'm afraid that jerk's dragons won't buckle so easily." My words made the camera crew that Chazz's brother brought look at me, declaring I was a beauty who the world needed to fawn over until I glared, blocking the camera with my hand as I walked towards Jaden. "You can win, because Chazz's brothers are just jerks who think they can be like my uncle Kaiba. They believe that they can have world domination but my uncle would never allow that, because he's already achieved it in his own eyes." Jaden was blushing as I stood close to him, "Now knock his butt off, because he needs to learn to find value. In more ways than one." Heading to the stands I watched as he destroyed the Masked Dragon, but his cards were more likely than not going to be wrecked, because of the trap cards I gave him and his trust with his deck. "Beat him Jaden!" My shout caused Chazz to be jealous of my friend, "You can do it!"

His brothers had been eyeing me since the cameras arrived but I already could guess what they were thinking, because everyone and their dog approached my dad the minute I was born, because they wanted to make a connection to the legendary king of games. Luckily, he loved me and my mom so much that he kept most info about us secret, until I entered the academy due to their strict background checks and Seto's insistence that I was old enough to handle my own problems. 'As if I'd ever actually get married to someone like Chazz. I don't plan on that for a while anyway., and when i do...it'll be to the person I love.' Using Tyrant's Tantrum and Tyrant's Temper, he summon one of his monsters that could combat Armed Dragon Lvl 7, preventing Chazz from activating any spells with the raven haired teen's move allowing him to get Polymerization to his hand. "Now, Jaden!!" I shouted as he played his move, "Flame Wingman, and Hero Kid! Take him out!"

He smiled, "That's game, Chazz!" His two brothers then harassed him for not winning, but that made me shout at them, "How could he win with you two douchebags controlling him?" I smirked, "He fought on his own terms, and that's better than relying on your shitty money bought cards." I extended my hand out to him, "You did great, Chazz. Nice dueling, I hope to see more stellar performances like that from you again!" He blushed while realizing that he was still loved by his rivals and friends, "I was supposed to be Miss Duel Academy but Dorothy stepped in for me, because I felt too embarrassed to do it." Jaden chuckled then kissed me on the cheek, "That's for the one you gave me before. And for believing in me." He gasped as I threw myself into a hug on him, "Anytime, what are best friends for?"
