I finish telling them the story and we all end up with misty eyes. it took me about an hour to explain everything with interruptions and my pausing when I got to the bad parts. to make up for not texting them while I was in the hospital I told them about Daniel an Jasmine. we talked for an extra five minutes before I had to help make dinner. the whistling of the tea kettle stops me from thinking farther into the day. I take the kettle off and pour cups of water.
"What type of tea?" I say, my voice plain. my mom thinks.
"Green tea is fine." I roll my eyes as I put the packets of tea in the cups. typical. I just can't stop hating my mom can I? And I can't say I don't have a reason because I do. I shake my head to clear the thoughts and set the table. I'm walking to the table when the doorbell rings.
"Ugh!" I walk to the door and open it. Daniel.
"Uh hey Alex." I glare at him.
"Just come in and don't talk to me." I grumble. he walks in front me and turns around when we reach the table.
"Can we talk."
"Daniel I told you-" I get cut off when I feel the feeling of falling all over again and the tea pours all over Daniel.
