I reach the school campus and wipe my eyes. I need to tell him. My heart is already broken and i will be nothing if I don't tell him. I see him standing under a beautiful willow tree and the image seems perfect. if only I didn't know what I have to tell him. I take a deep breath and walk under the tree. Daniel brightens when he sees me. He reached for my hand but I pull away.
"Are you okay?" He asks when he sees my face. I feel my eyes water and I can't hold it in. I hate the world. I hate my life
"No I am not okay!" Daniel opens his mouth to speak but I interrupt him. "m mom and your dad are getting married so we can't be together." Daniels face goes red like he's holding back tears to. I continue. "I love you but make it easier on both of us and don't talk to me." his face is blank. I feel like my stomach is iron. Finally he speaks.
"So then this is goodbye?"
"I guess it is."
