Masons car is a black Honda. I sit in the back seat with Mason in shotgun next to his mom. his mom talks a lot and is clearly happy to have another girl in the house
"Alex I'm so thrilled your staying!" She chirps. it would be less awkward if I didn't have a tiny crush on your son. OMG. did I just think that?! How can i move on so fast when I had spent a whole night yelling into my pillow! I bite my lip hoping I didn't stay silent for too long.
"I am to..thank you for letting me stay Mrs. Hanley." Masons mom laughs
"Please, call me Cassandra." I smile when she looks at me through the mirror
"Mkay." I say. suddenly Mason claps his hands tigether making me jump. "MASON!" I say my cheeks pink. mason smiles and his mom laughs. I roll my eyes when Mason speaks after scaring me.
"How 'bout we get some ice cream?" Cassandra nods and takes an exit to Dairy Queen. the whole way there they sing the 'I scream for ice cream' song. they're childish but I like it. it's cool how they can still have fun. I join I with their singing. I guess I could to.
