Chapter 26: Only Hope

Lisa POV

When I woke up from sleeping here in the clinic, I think about my mother's action in court. We have had a lot of fights over those past days. We are not the same; she's so empathic while I'm not. I was really mad at her decision. And honestly, I got sick every time I didn't get what I really wanted. I can't bear too many emotions, so I sabotage my brain to be restless in thinking. That's why I hate commitment because I don't accept defeat.

Sometimes I wish I was a very submissive person so that I would not experience this kind of frustration. The F4 didn't deserve to be given second chances. And I hate it if there are people who hurt my loved ones. I will fight and, rather, give them the punishment they deserve. And part of that is that I heard from Mimi that the F4 will be back at the university next week. Sometimes the world is unfair. Hayts. That's why I hate someone controlling me.

I stop thinking when I feel my phone vibrate.

I check my messages. There are many inquiries in the Glee Club. Did Rosé post my personal account? She didn't tell me about this.

I chat with Rosé right away.

L: I will block all these inquiries at your club if you do not perfect all your exams. This is a threat Rosé!

R: Ok, see you at my house. We will spend our weekend studying.

Haaay, Why did I need to do this? I didn't apply to college to become a babysitter or a tutor.

This is Jennie's fault. She's so hard to get. I really know she really likes me, but she still rejects me, and I really hate that feeling. She makes me feel so challenged. And it makes me more excited to know the reason why she rejected it.

There is a deep reason why she's living her life like she doesn't have any choice, and I want to know it.

Author POV

All the students at YG University are scheduled to take their first-day examinations for the whole week. The F4 came back from their suspension.

Tae, Jisoo, and Jennie are together arriving at the university. They are walking to their respective rooms. Rosé is alone, waiting in the hallway. She is looking for Lisa to arrive. Jennie observes that Rosé looks like she is not herself. So she asks her best friend.

J: Rosé, are you okay? Are you waiting on someone?

R: Yes, I'm waiting for Lisa. Maybe she overslept.

J: Really? I hope she will not be late. The exam will start in ten minutes. The university will not accept late examinee.

R: Yeah. That's why I'm so nervous about Lisa. What if she is late arriving?

I will call her.

R: Her phone is busy.

Tae stopped walking and called Jennie.

T: We need to go now, Babe.

J: You can go now. I will accompany Rosé. She's just waiting for her friend.

R: No, I'm okay, Jennie. I will just wait for her here.

Tae goes in their direction.

T: Are you sure, Rosé?

R: Yes. I am okay. You need to go now.

Js: Well, I see Lisa talking to Somi in the parking lot. She looks flirting.

Jisoo walks past in front of Rosé.

J: Ok. I think you need to go to your room now, Rosé. You're waiting for someone who does not even care if there is someone waiting for her.
