Chapter 44: Right Here Waiting

Jennie POV

When I got back home last night, I was expecting that my father would nag at me, but he didn't say or do anything. He makes me feel that I am not even existing in our house. My mother didn't know what my father was thinking about my situation, but she looks so scared about my state. Maybe she knew what my father could do.

I didn't tell her about my situation at the university because I knew that she didn't have the power to stop the plans of the Kim family and my father for me.
I don't want my baby to be affected by what is happening to me. I need Lisa. I want to lessen my stress right now.

I am waiting for her at the gate of the university. I know my actions yesterday were not good. I fucking missed her already. I know I don't need to get paranoid from what she said about that woman. So I need to make it up to her now because if I do not, it will cause me to think more.

She didn't call me or message me last night. I know she's hurt by what she saw. I just invalidated her feelings. So I need to apologize.

But it's already 8 a.m. in the morning. Lisa's first class today is at 7 a.m., but until now I didn't see her. I want to wait on her more, but I don't have any choice but to go to my first class because I will be late if I wait for her until now.

I didn't focus on my classes because my mind was on Lisa. What if she was late again and Mama didn't wake her up? I didn't finish preparing her things yesterday. Maybe she is having a hard time preparing herself for the class. Aaahhh, I hope my mind is wrong.

I called her again many times, but her line was busy. I am starting to piss off. She didn't give me any updates from her again. She didn't keep her promise to obey me.

When I am done with my three classes, I immediately went to her building to check on her, but I didn't have a chance to go to her building because I already saw her talking with Kaia on an open bench in the school garden. Lisa didn't see me, so I hid myself. Lisa is laughing and looks like she is having a good time bonding with that woman.

I need to calm myself. I know they are just talking about the project, but why do I feel so irritated? Maybe because Lisa didn't think about her pregnant wife, who looks so desperate looking for her. And is her project more important than mine?

I have time to examine Kaia; I feel insecure about her height and sexiness. But fuck her, I know that's look; she is so interested in my Lisa. She looks so happy and very entertained, even though Lisa is just nodding at her.

What the fuck!

I cannot take it anymore. I walk in their direction and immediately sit beside Lisa.

K: Oh, hi, Jennie.

I didn't greet Kaia back, even though she was smiling at me. I look back at Lisa. She smiles at me, but something is off with her. I can sense that she's not really happy to see me. She looks so pressured. Is she hiding something from me?

L: Why are you taking so long to come here?

J: What do you mean?

L: You are on the post in like more than thirty minutes, Jennie.

Kaia looks so shocked by what Lisa said.

J: What! So you already saw me, but you didn't go in my direction, Lisa.

L: Because I thought you just wanted to stand there and watch me. So I respect your time.

J: You're unreasonable, Lisa! As far as I know, you have common sense. You knew that I was standing there because I was looking for you.

L: I am not being unreasonable here, Jennie. I know that you are not just standing, because you are hiding, and it looks like you want to spy on what I am doing. So I respect what you really want to do.
