Chapter 27: Drive

Lisa POV 

Rosé told me that there were already results in the exam. She asks me to accompany her to check her score.

I see her in the study hall, waiting for me.

She stood up and met me halfway when she saw me.

R: Lisa, make it fast.

L: Why? 

R: I want to check it now. I didn't have enough sleep because I am so fucking nervous.

L: Well, I didn't expect this. You said next week would be the result.

R: Yeah, I don't know why there is a result now, but I am so eager to see my score now.

L: Ok! But then why do you look so down?

R: Maybe because I really want to perfect all the exams. To give back your sacrifice. Hahaha

L: But what if you didn't perfect the exam? What you going to do?

R: I don't know, but I still tried.

L: Yes, that's the right thinking Rosé.

R: Let's go now.

Rosé and I are now on the school announcement board. Here in YG, for every examination, the score needs to be announced. Because the education here is so high, many compete to put their names on the highest list in every examination. Even though you have different courses, they rank students according to their scores.

I am not looking for the result. I am just accompanying Rosé. And I am sitting in the chair while she's finding her name.

Rosé came back, and she looks so pale and trembling.

L: Hey, what happened?

Rosé didn't talk, and her lips are so white. I am so nervous. She looks about to pass out. But a minute passes. She shouted so loudly and hugged me so tight. I am so shocked,  and I am not really comfortable whenever someone is hugging me, but I don't want her to be embarrassed because all the students look in our direction.

Then I see Jennie walking out of the crowd; she's wiping her tears and running away. What happened to her?

R: I did it, Lisa.

L: What! 

R: I perfected all the exams. And I get the highest score.

L: Wow, I am very happy for you, Rosé. But can you please take your hug from me? I might push you now.

R: No! Give me another minute. Jisoo is looking.

L: Fuck! 

Rosé looks calm now. I got curious to check the scores at the second-year level. Rosé is the only student who has perfected all the exams. I look for Jennie's name. She is number two on the list. Oh, that's why she's crying.

After I check the second-year level, I check my score. I cheated; maybe I get the highest score too. Hahaha, I am not wrong; my name is at the top.

R: Lisa, we need to celebrate.

L: I'm so sorry, but I have a schedule later. I have a race after all my classes today.

R: OK! I will call Jennie.

L: And why?

R: I will invite her to celebrate with you. I think you need to reschedule your whereabouts. You need time together. And please comfort her.

L: Hahaha, what the fuck! I know what to do with my ex-girlfriend, Rosé. You don't need to dictate to me.

R: Your ex-girlfriend? Hahaha, but still, I will try to help. And you always said you missed her.
