Chapter 43: The Great Pretender

Jennie POV

After the night when Lisa knew that I was already pregnant, she got so overprotective and didn't stop to think of more ideas about how my pregnancy could be so easy. She even watches videos about pregnancy and looks like she is studying my state and our baby's safety. She advised me on what I needed to eat and what I needed to do during my pregnancy. She is really weird, but I feel so special when she's like that.

I could not keep up with her to stay awake last night. I didn't know that I felt asleep while Lisa was still studying something. She is full of ideas that even I cannot contain. She was really full of energy at night. She is a nocturnal person. And I am surprised because I thought she was sleeping right now, but when I wake up, she's not beside me.

Thankfully, she messaged me and even informed me that she needs to go out early because she needs to talk to some people to start building our house.
She is really serious about that thing. And I feel overwhelmed by her actions because, until now, I didn't really know how to start a family. I don't know how she will finish her goal. Well, Lisa is so optimistic and persistent, even though her plan is so impossible.

She messaged me that she would be back before we went to school today, but I'm so worried about her state. I know she didn't rest well last night.

While I am preparing our snack for school, I can hear Lisa's voice. She looks like she's looking for me.

L: My wife.

J: I'm just here.

She hugs me so tight when she sees me. She looks so happy.

L: Good morning!

J: What happened? You look like you have good news to tell.

L: Well, I am just so excited to see our house in the future.

J: Ok! So how was the talk?

L: It's so good, Jennie. The construction is going on now.

J: What!!! How's that even happening?

L: Because I made it happen.

J: Lisa, are you sure about building that kind of mansion? If you want, we can rent a house for now.

L: My wife, I am sure about that thing.

J: Where will you get money? And how about the lot of the house? Do you already have a title?

L: The title is in process, but the important thing right now is that we will have our own place.

J: Lisa, I am just okay living a simple life as long as you are with me.

L: Well, Jennie, I am doing it because I am making our lives so simple. So please don't think so much because I know what I'm doing. And don't worry about anything that's not good for our baby.

She kisses my tummy and looks so worried.

J: But still, your plan is so...

L: Hey, you said you trusted me, right?

J: Yes, of course.

L: Then let me do my things for you and for our baby.

J: But what if I want to help?

L: No, don't mind that thing, Jennie; I will be the one who provides for our family.

J: Lisa, that's our mansion, so I need to provide even in expenses.

L: No, I will not let you do that.

J: And why? Lisa, we are in a relationship, which means we are partners in everything. I need to do something too.
