"Your face sickens me." His mother's venomous tone is just one of the many ways she expresses her immense hatred for her child. Since he was born, he's always been different. Lacking in emotions, lacking in empathy and at times can be unreasonably cruel. He didn't care much if he hurt others, physically or emotionally. He felt nothing, as if there was a black hole in his chest. There's something wrong with that boy.
"If I knew you were going to come out like that, like some freaky monster then I would've gone through with the abortion. But no, I just had to get fucking drunk the day before and miss the appointment." She scoffs, shaking her head. She raises the cigarette to her lips, inhaling the smoke. She is wearing a red pantsuit with a black top, her lipstick also a bright red shade. It's always been her color and it's why Sukuna despises his eyes so much.
Sukuna hopes the smoke kills her. He wants to shove the cigarette down her throat before strangling her to death with her own pearls and see the life drain from her eyes. He doesn't know why she continues to visit despite admitting him to the psych ward a year ago. He might only be nine but he doesn't need her. Never did. If anything, he figures he must've got his callousness from her.
Well, her constant smoking will kill her. As we speak, it's tainting her already struggling lungs. When she dies, Sukuna figures she'll be alone on her deathbed. Abandoned and miserable, it's her fate and he can't help but feel gratified at the mental visual of her end. Even that naive, bratty other son of hers won't show up. He's a weak thing, Sukuna doesn't know how his younger brother will survive the cruelty of the people in this world. He'll be chewed up and spit out. If anything, Yuji should've thanked Sukuna for pushing him out of the treehouse.
It made him stronger. The brat survived, a broken arm and fractured leg but, alive. He'll heal, he'll know pain and learn not to easily trust. Even–no, especially, family.
"You wished to see me?" The man in charge of the ward enters Sukuna's room. He's a rather greedy man, hungry for money and seems to have lost his mind with the need to fix the patients here.
"This lifeless thing has been here for a year and it doesn't look like he's improved. What the hell am I paying you for?" She snaps, eyebrows scrunched slightly as she glares viciously. Just looking at her son sickens her, makes her disgusted she gave birth to such an unlovable child.
"Ma'am–"
"Let's try the shock therapy then, I'm running out of patience so maybe you can fix the damn brat by jolting his brain." She snaps, storming out of the room. Her heels click loudly against the marbled floor, the man helplessly following her and listening to her endless complaints and demands.
Sukuna's attention swiftly turns to Megumi who wakes from his rest. He must've been exhausted seeing as he slept for many hours. Megumi sits up, taking a moment to adjust and collect himself. Sukuna has been alone for a long time, none of the workers ever spoke to him and as he was deemed dangerous, he wasn't permitted to socialize with other patients. Not that he wanted to. Sukuna has never cared about other people, they're nothing more than tools or fleeting entertainment.
Even so, Megumi doesn't fit into either of those categories. Sukuna doesn't want to use Megumi nor does he see him as a fool to be amused by.
Suddenly, Megumi's stomach makes a strange gurgling noise. Sukuna's eyebrows scrunch as he gets up, towering over Megumi who seems visibly startled. He slides his hands up Megumi's stomach, pressing on his abdomen. Megumi whimpers at the sensation, tightly closing his eyes.
