Sukuna isn't fond to the asylum, it's a haunting place with terrible memories attached. It's been so long since he's been outside but wherever this pretty omega goes, he wants to follow and there is, currently, no logical reason that he has determined for feeling this way. Really, so far Megumi has seemed relatively useless and not observant when it's needed.

But, he doesn't seem to be relying on Sukuna to protect him. He was even going to leave Sukuna behind, he probably only invited him out of pity because he sees Sukuna has nothing. Whatever the reason, Sukuna finds that he doesn't really care. He's the one who agreed to come and is now following a tiny omega who at least has a good sense of direction. Or at least is very good at pretending he knows.

The forest is foggy and vast. There are groans in the distance which makes Sukuna move closer to Megumi, crimson eyes darting around to make sure nothing happens to the pretty omega. The leaves crunch beneath their feet, a sound that would've been insignificant and ignored if it were a normal day. But now if feels louder than ever, now that Megumi is more aware of every noise, every breath he takes and every rustle of their clothing.

Neither Sukuna or Megumi are social people, so they are silent, understanding one another's desire for the quiet.

Megumi's well rested, it's been awhile since that were the case. Even before the virus, he was always restless. Untrusting of his foster homes and the people in it, their intentions unclear and smiles hiding true natures. When, on occasion, he would stay at the homes of the people he slept with, he managed to get a solid hour or two at most of undisturbed rest before he was back to the paranoia.

He glances at Sukuna beside him and wonders what made him feel so secure? Is it because he knows that if Sukuna wanted him dead, he would've allowed the dead to rip his face apart? But wouldn't that make Megumi more restless because Sukuna didn't let that happen because he had sinister intentions to use his body to satisfy his alpha needs?

His hand was warm, protecting the cold that always engulfs Megumi. It was rough, the kind that shows how difficult his life is. Sukuna could crush Megumi in a second if he wanted, Megumi's lithe form allows him to be agile and quick but that doesn't change that all Sukuna need to do is get a good grip on his throat and squeeze till his neck is crushed.

Megumi has never cared about his life much, if it wasn't obvious for his reckless behaviors but now, he needs to live for Tsumiki because if he's going to die, he's going to make sure it's for Tsumiki's sake.

However, Megumi wonders if it's because he feels a sense of... similarity to Sukuna. That they're different and yet the same.

Megumi shakes his head, believing that's a ridiculous conclusion and focuses back on the world before him. "There should be a few stories in that direction. Let's check it out." Megumi tells Sukuna who nods in response. If he remembers correctly, there should be a hunters kind of store in that direction as well.

It doesn't take long to leave the forest and have the stores in sight. "I'm going to raid this section, you get the other and let's meet right back here." Megumi explains briefly but before they can part ways, Sukuna grasps Megumi's dainty wrist. Sukuna doesn't want to harm the omega again so he's extra cautious of his strength. His eyebrows draw together, confliction in his crimson eyes.

"Don't worry, I know I've been showing you embarrassing sides of myself but I'm capable of protecting myself. It'll get done faster this way, make sure to meet me back here, okay?" Megumi smiles reassuringly, his wrist slipping from Sukuna's grasp. He leaves the backpack with Sukuna so he can pack anything he thinks necessary. Megumi is in search of a weapon or two.
