I have a few words to say
when the world points out your constellations
I know it's hard to keep emotions at bay.
From your temples to your cheeks,
down your nose to your chin
to smack dab in the middle of your forehead,
you feel there is no place to win.
But I say this with experience,
after years of skin shaming
regardless of the state of your skin
you don't deserve this underrating.
I'll tell you time and time again,
don't hide behind your hair
or layer yourself with makeup
fine, you won't look like a china doll but who the bloody well cares?
Don't let these scars bring you down,
for they will fade in time
but so will this moment
so don't stop living your life.
